About the Job We are looking for a Senior Designer in Levi’s® Women’s Bottoms, reporting to Director, Levi's Global Women's Bottoms Design, designing and developing our most Iconic women’s denim fits, including Levi’s® 501 family, Trucker Jackets, Levi’s®Boyfriend fit and seasonal fashion fits. The Senior Designer should have deep experience in denim finishing techniques, knowledge of the contemporary denim market, a passion for denim fabric innovation, experience in denim fit, and a passion for women’s denim trends. Other responsibilities include: • Be creative, and willing to be part of a company- and team-first environment. Inspire creativity of the category through best-in-class fit, fabric, fit, finish, style and sundries development • Research and monitor the consumer and marketplace to identify opportunities to stay ahead of the competition • Manage a team to develop on-brand, trend-right product that creates equity and profitability for the Levi’s® brand and upholds our aesthetic standards • Collaborate with Director to develop seasonal concepts and color stories • Analyze current selling and have a vision for developing future trends • Develop diverse relationships, leading collaboration and partnerships within Design, and across Merchandising, and Product Development • Develop the strategy to meet seasonal product assortment needs and COGS targets • Develop product with a sustainable mindset and +Net Positive without compromising aesthetics • Create technical design packs communicating style, size, proportion, scale, manage and guide fittings and product development About you• Bachelor’s degree in Apparel Design, or a combination of college education and industry related work experience may be used as a substitute • 8+ yrs experience as a designer, responsible for all facets of design and development • 4+ yrs experience specifically as a women’s denim designer • Expertise in textiles and product development; knowledge of garment construction, patternmaking, denim fabric construction, finishing techniques, and processes • Proficient on all design platforms – Adobe CC and PLM program and proficiency in MS Office. • Good with people; especially with senior level directors • You are an energetic, positive, helpful demeanor and a passion and interest in LS&Co. • You have an appreciation for the Levi’s DNA OPTIONAL APPLICATION SUPPLEMENT• Create a 1 page Trend Board for Levi's and submit as your cover letter.
