Reporting to the Senior Manager of Partnerships and Innovation, the Senior Analyst will ensure LS&Co. is playing a strategic role in this landscape. You will develop industry trend research, company evaluations and profiles, and activation performance analysis that will underpin the continued development of partnerships with scale and emerging digital players. The Senior Analyst will also assist and lead negotiations and contracting for new projects, relationship development and management with partners, and exploration and evaluation of new business models for LS&Co. You will need an understanding of emerging trends in the consumer technology space, excellent commercial instincts, research ability and creativity. You will develop financial analyses, project launch plans, competitive benchmarking, economic modeling, and consumer research that will help evolve our long-term digital strategy. You will: • Help plan, execute, and analyze performance of strategic digital partnerships, whether evergreen or point in time • Research, report, and become an expert on trends in direct-to-consumer, retail, ecommerce and next-generation shopping technologies • Establish relationships and collaborate with global partners on product, marketing, legal, finance, and creative teams • Design and envision future partnerships concepts (e.g. product drops, etc.) and develop project launch plans • Prepare compelling presentations for senior management on strategic evaluations, proposals, and recommendations • Partner with legal and finance teams on contract development and negotiations on terms, timelines, and projects • Assist and lead analytics, financial models, negotiations, and contracting for partnerships projects You will also: • Help develop a point of view on concepts and strategy behind external partnerships with small startups or larger scale partners • Help develop in-depth profiles of essential, high-potential partners including strategic priorities, in-flight beta tests / pilots, and commercial plans as well as a “long list” of smaller, up-and-coming tech players • Research potential touchpoints between LS&Co. and potential partners, including company organization structures, markets, essential personnel and decision makers You have intellectual curiosity, and you will be eager to learn about new business models, companies and technologies to identify value additive workstreams for the DTC team. You are comfortable with escalating roadblocks where appropriate, recommending risk mitigating actions, and influencing project lead(s) to establish deadlines and deliverables. This role must have a basic technical understanding and comfort level working with multiple diverse internal and external groups (e.g. legal, finance, marketing, product) to identify compelling partnership opportunities, and understand how partners will need to work with Global Direct to Consumer technical teams. Key Responsibilities: • Source and evaluate opportunities for partnerships from a go-to-market, legal and financial perspective• Conduct early diligence on potential partners, including business cases and KPIs • Refresh and develop profiles and outreach plans, support in the cultivation of LS+Co. strategic partnerships with large scale technology companies • Lead accelerator and venture capital programming (e.g. deal flow sessions, mentorship meetings, etc.) • Support in the evolution of LS+Co.’s technology partnership landscape and strategy• Understand current and emerging technology, ecommerce and consumer trends • Develop recommendations on with whom and how LS+Co. should partner to maximize long-term sales growth – both large and emerging players • Monitor and analyze partnerships projects throughout duration and after completion • Inform LS+Co. Innovation and Omnichannel roadmaps based on partnership priorities and technology landscape; help create collaboration between LS+Co. and partner technology/innovation teams Minimum Education Required: Bachelor’s degree minimum Years and Type of Experience Required: 3-5 years / experience working at a top-tier consulting firm or investment bank or in strategy/business development for a large retail or technology company Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: • Establish goals and develop frameworks to achieve success • Financial modeling; expertise in Excel • “Out of the box” thinker with a passion for creative solutions • Excellent proficiency in PowerPoint and experience crafting executive-level presentations We put a lot of thought into our programs to provide you with a benefits package that matters.
