JOB DESCRIPTIONMerchandising Operations Director Europe | Brussels European HQ For our Levi Strauss & Co. Merchants, everything begins and ends with the consumer. The merchandising team understands consumer needs and market capacity to create the right product mix for market places around Europe from store to online, this team helps bring the seasonal category visions to life. The merchandising team has the unique ability to see beyond trends to identify what’s next to deliver the right product to the right places at the right time and at the right price. As Levi’s® Merchandising Operations Director, you will play a central role in helping to shape and develop the merchandising team of the future. You will be responsible for critical seasonal milestone activities that will allow merchandising, marketing and commercial functions to bring the Levi’s® brand to life and assortments to markets across channels and geographies. You’ll embrace future technologies, leverage data and your curiosity will be key to improving ways of working combined with first-class networking skills. Responsibilities include: GTM: • Own the GTM milestones and align business process and cross functional teams • Represent LSE globally and locally to improve and implement operational excellence • Own the season calendar and simplify / standardise seasonal tools Data & Pricing: • Define European pricing and manage Geo pricing coordination • Inform category strategy and manage sales information • Provide geography and category insights and run seasonal analytics and margin simulations Reporting & Insights: • Sell in / Sell out performance VS forecast investment and consumption • Sales performance; insights informing brief and product needs • Trend dashboards; leverage external & cross-channel data Leadership: • Lead the development of the department to encourage new ways of working, embracing and driving technology • Bring the operations team to the next level and support / develop individual members to reach their full potential Job Requirements: • Commercial leadership experience of Buying / Merchandising, ideally in large multiple retail environments with European scope. • Desire to work for a world class merchandising team • A curious mind / passion to learn and a love for product • Quick fact and intuition-informed decision making • Drive innovation and collaboration within and across multiple geographies and functions • Strategic and Analytical mindset • Proficiency with MS Office applications (Word & Excel) • Ability to work in a fast paced and diverse environment • Proficiency in written and spoken English Functional Competencies: • Consumer & Market Insights: Ability to identify both future orientated and in season consumer and market apparel trends to create a strategic brand vision and point of view • Financial acumen: Skilled at the key financial levers and performance measure to maximise revenue, profitability, volume, sell through and brand equity through marketing right product assortments • Functional leadership: Leads go to market process through superior cross functional communication, influencing and collaboration across multiple functions and channels of distribution.
