The Director, IT - Product Development and Sourcing Systems will partner with Senior Business and IT leaders and numerous other functions to drive the conceptualization, transformation delivery and technical realization of Supply Chain solutions creating efficient and innovative platforms within the LS&Co “Go To Market” end to end processes. The Director, IT - Product Development and Sourcing Systems is responsible for defining and effectively communicating a future state vision where supply chain business objectives are satisfied through changes to technology and business processes. Driving a technology and architectural direction that enables effective delivery and operational excellence. The leader of this team will establish, maintain and drive continuous delivery of a technology and support roadmap, significantly elevating, driving and transforming the business relationship between both internal and external stakeholders. This leader will ignite an internal team transformation focused on delivering new and innovative technology solutions to support the broader goals of the business. Additionally, The Director, IT - Product Development and Sourcing Systems is responsible for the technical, future-lead execution and architecture within our innovation labs. The Levi’s Eureka Innovation Lab is pioneering the denim apparel industry into the digital age and these roles will support that effort. Where we lead, others follow Key Metrics: • Leads the Product Development and Sourcing teams to ensure alignment to the business strategy, global project portfolio and technology roadmaps with adherence to our Product Development and Sourcing governance, best practices and policies • Creates, articulates and delivers the vision, strategy and business value of IT Product Development and Sourcing and best practices to mitigate risk during technology implementations into our production environment • Defines and implements multi-year Product Development and Sourcing technology roadmaps supported by annual business and financial goals • Overall ownership and oversight of standard, performance, regression and automation testing and release tools, test data and test environment management • Implements enterprise wide metrics to drive an increase and improvement in test automation and quality while decreasing defects in our production environment • Implements and effectively manages data governance, test strategy best practices, policies and standards while gaining industry insights through vendor partners to implement Levi's next generation platforms. • Partners with IT and business stakeholders to define, prioritize and execute test strategies, test plans and cutover rehearsals for technology projects and enhancements to ensure successful delivery of business capabilities • Ensures the Release Management strategy and plans are fully integrated with IT governance, Project lifecycle checkpoints, and Release policies and processes. Key Responsibilities: • Lead IT engagement for Product Development and Sourcing requirements across technology and business stakeholders • Superior software development lifecycle execution including knowledge of QA and Test strategies, automation, regression test beds, test data, landscape test environments and enforce appropriate governance. • Industry best practices and techniques such as devops, agile and waterfall leveraging resource allocations across a complex application environment and global technology project portfolio. • Continually review, challenge and optimize the effectiveness of delivery of IT Product Development and Sourcing Projects, System Integration Test planning and execution, Release Management, cutover rehearsals and implementations with the use of automation to drive improvements in quality, speed, and delivery to mitigate risk and defects • Build, lead and motivate a high functioning team of internal employees and vendor resources to deliver Product Development and Sourcing Teams with improved employee experience embedded in annual objectives, coaching, performance management and development planning • Forge strong, collaborative relationships and build consensus among competing stakeholders across IT peers, consulting partner(s) and SaaS providers leveraging exceptional communication and interpersonal skills Key Relationships: Member of the IT Supply Chain Leadership Team, this role will lead and influence senior management members across the global IT organization, IT portfolio managers and global PM's. Consults with and supports ITLT/IT peers. Manages key relationships with relevant vendors including Wipro, Cognizant, Infosys and HP. Education: • Master’s Degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Business Administration, or technology related field Experience: • Overall – 12 plus years of IT experience in Complex IT Systems within Supply Chain Systems including responsibility and ownership for IT delivery and project teams. Experience required in the selection and successful management of on-going relationships with multiple service providers (technology and services – including non-US based off-shore service providers). • Industry experience – Deep Supply Chain Systems knowledge and testing and release management strategies, tools, process and technology knowledge and experience, with innovative and progressive solutioning track record. Proven experience with deployment and operations of both insourced and outsourced Manufacturing environments. • Information Technology Literacy: Proficient at understanding of technology directions, trends and strategic business impacts. Strong proficiency in test automation, regression and performance management, risk evaluation, project management and demand management. • IT Leadership: Ability to design and lead an effective IT organization made up of employees and vendor resources both onshore and offshore that have highly technical skill sets.
