Purpose: The Store Planning function is responsible for helping the retail team meet financial objectives by translating product strategies into store clusters and ensuring that each store’s profitability and potential is fully optimized. Through detailed analysis of store level performance and partnership with the field leadership team, this role helps to forecast and balance inventory across the fleet. In addition, this role supports the opening of new/relocation stores with a strategic mindset, and most importantly is the trusted advisor to the planning, merchandising and allocation functions within retail. Primary Responsibilities: • Build pre-season store clusters to support merchandising strategies and financial plans • Create and maintain in-season store/category deviations in allocation system to inform initial flow quantities and capitalize on store level opportunities • Manage and balance store level inventory by effectively communicating inventory position and suggested plan of action to planning and allocation teams • Partner with field teams on store specific sales opportunities and work back with cross-functional teams to address • Forecast required stock levels to deliver key seasonal/promotional time-frames within the business • Create and deliver store level reporting to give the organization a clear view to our performance by door as well as aggregated performance by store cluster/ region • Manage new/relocation store opening process and recommend capacity requirements/ inventory strategies to support financial targets • Recommend and analyze results for store/cluster specific promotional opportunities aimed to optimize KPI performance • Collaborate with merchandising to identify localized assortment/ allocation opportunities and present data-informed solutions • Maintain store level attributes in global databases • Align with Global Store Planning lead and regional store planning peers to adopt best practices Education and Experience: • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required • 3-5 years of retail allocation/planning/ store planning or related analytical experience Skills • Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills with proven ability to convert findings into action plans and solutions • Strong mathematical and statistical aptitude with abilities to synthesize and draw conclusions from large data sets • High level of proficiency in retail math with clear understanding of how to impact key financial measurements • Able to develop and maintain strong working relationships with peers and a large cross-functional team • Ability to influence cross-functionally, and convey well-informed point of view • Demonstrates strong listening, oral and written communication skills • Flexible and adaptive to changing priorities with willingness to learn and drive process improvements • Able to work independently to prioritize activities based on business needs and deadlines • Strong skill-set with MS Office programs, particularly Excel, and experience working with Business Intelligence Software The Company's policy is to provide equal opportunity to all persons without regard to race, color, creed, religion, national origin, citizenship, sex, age, sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression, marital status, Vietnam era/disabled veteran status, physical or mental disability, or other protected classes prohibited by applicable law.
