We're looking for a Merchant to inform a consumer and market relevant, category-leading product using consumer, customer, trends, and competitive intelligence that achieves against financial and brand equity goals. About the Job• Reporting to the Senior Director of Men's Bottoms Merchandising • Contribute to all aspects of Product Development activities (including the development of the seasonal brief) • Contribute to the development of a compelling and consistent global product offering for category/segment • Support cascade aligned seasonal direction to Affiliates • Help coordinate discussions on Brief response regarding global point of view • Incorporate local brief requirements in product under guidance from Director • Support partnership efforts with Design on seasonal point of view and commercialization for optimal productivity • Provide recommendations for and assistance in driving an assortment plan mandates and recommendations for affiliate that consider global and local requirements • Present point of view on the allocation of styles for development; add additional styles to line plan if needed • Execute and implement brand strategies • Accomplish seasonal line release activities • Identify and help develop quick response products • Offer input to the brand’s annual plan • Participate in monthly financial review meetings • Stay informed on customer trends and what is selling both globally and locally Essential Metrics• Develop global product line for a single category/segment with moderate complexity and/or volume or multiple classifications with low complexity and/or volume. • Measured on revenue, MGP% and equity measures globally and for geographic clusters. About You• Bachelor’s degree (5+ years combined college education and work experience may be substituted for a degree) • Minimum 5 years merchandising experience working at an apparel brand or manufacturer • Understanding of brand aesthetic and commercial application from briefing to sell-in • Understanding of the market place, trends, and competitive landscape • Financial knowledge and retail math expertise • Understand the merchandising and product development processes, including the ability to work across different disciplines and product categories engaging with multiple cross-functional partners • Presentation and public speaking expertise We put a lot of thought into our programs to provide you with a benefits package that matters.
