SENIOR STRATEGY ANALYST, GLOBAL DIRECT-TO-CONSUMER Levi Strauss & Company is in a revolutionary phase as it looks to transform into a top direct-to-consumer retailer. Our mission in Global Direct-to-Consumer Retail and Ecommerce is to achieve the next-generation shopping experience to our consumers around the world. We're looking for a person with a passion for retail and ecommerce to join us as Senior Analyst, Global Retail and Ecommerce Strategy. The Analyst will play an essential role in helping senior management make the strategic decisions that ensure Global Direct-to-Consumer Retail & Ecommerce continues on its accelerated growth trajectory. This is not a corporate position –it’s a business operations/strategy role that sits directly within our global business – expect to be immersed in the digital change facing the retail industry. ROLE DESCRIPTION • You will deliver strategic analyses and presentations that guide executive decision-making around key business issues and new concepts/opportunities. Analytics could include:• Point of view on industry characteristics/trends (e.g. market size, share, growth) • Competitive benchmarking • Consumer research/customer behavior • Internal performance analytics (historical, financial, operational) • Economic modeling and scenarios • Lead the development and operational development of multiple projects; monitor, report and course correct against deliverables • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations to senior management around strategic evaluations, proposals and recommendations • Participate in diverse teams that coordinate annual strategic planning and budgeting; represent direct-to-consumer retail and ecommerce point of view on broader company-wide projects • Build and establish relationships with important business and technology partners including Merchandising, Marketing, Finance, Operations, Product and Engineering • Develop expertise on retail industry, ecommerce, retail innovation and next-generation shopping technologies via curiosity, global travel and industry conferences • Grow into a trusted advisor that understands our business end-to-end from consumer-facing experiences to foundational technologies DESIRED EXPERIENCE • Two to three years of post-undergraduate experience in management consulting, investment banking or strategic role at top brand, retailer or technology company • Passion for the retail industry and consumer brands; desire to build a career in retail or consumer industries • Analytical skills with the ability to use data to frame, dissect and solve problems—requires quantitative strength and an ability to logically ‘connect the dots’ • Experience developing and analyzing business strategies and executing projects and processes across departments • Advanced in Excel; experience building financial and sensitivity models, combining large datasets (i.e. customer data), using advanced Excel functions • Proficiency in Powerpoint with the ability to craft presentations of essential messages and storyline developed from analytical work • Intellectual curiosity and the willingness to learn SQL, Tableau and other new tools • Experience in retail or ecommerce industry preferred Location: San Francisco, CA We put a lot of thought into our programs to provide you with a benefits package that matters.
