In this role, you will be embedded in all issues and discussions linked to materials, to better support the product engine, from design to merchandising. You will support the Sr. Manager of Global Product Sustainability and your work will include implementation and evangelization of the owned/operated climate change strategy and sustainable materials strategy, including circular economy, within the organization. Your goals will include strengthening the sustainability of our products through developing new product and supply chain programs and guiding our cross-functional partners through implementation and expansion of programs. You will also share a goal of bringing sustainable product to market and embedding our climate change commitments into our operations. Key Responsibilities: • Work with points of contact in Americas retail, global brand environment, real estate, and related functions to embed energy savings and renewable energy policies and requirements into existing processes and the template for a global NextGen store • Coordinate with the Europe and Asia regions to replicate energy work being developed in the Americas • Serve as point of contact for Retail, Distribution, Office/Real Estate for energy-relevant work • Support Sustainability Analyst to develop a system for tracking and reporting energy usage across Owned/Operated facilities • Serve as point of contact for sustainability field team managers and subject matter experts as coordinator of input for a sustainable product strategy • BCI monthly usage reporting and coordination with regional sourcing managers as needed • Map circular economy across LS&Co. supply chain to identify gaps and opportunities at the supplier and regional levels • Develop and implement a protocol for sustainable product reporting, in collaboration with merchandising, product development, and planning partners • Provide data analytics on Sustainable Product and Materials work • Conduct benchmark analyses of product-related programs as needed Skills Requirements: • Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s or equivalent experience preferred • 3-5 years' professional experience preferably with a sustainability focus • Excel, applied analytics for strategy-building • Powerpoint • LCA • Project management • Action-oriented and focused on results • Diplomacy, influence and consensus building • Active listening and empathy • Experience translating sustainability into business • Data-driven mindset • Experience with Tableau, Power BI (preference) LOCATION1155 Battery St. San Francisco, CA, 94111FULL TIME/PART TIMEFull time
