We're looking for an Associate Art Director to join our global creative team. You'll partner with all leaders to build brand visuals across all channels, enhancing the LS&Co. experience and overseeing the development of the brand and design standards, both domestically and internationally. This role reports to our Art Director of Global Creative Services and is based in Levi Plaza, our headquarters in San Francisco, CA. About the Job• Conceptualize, develop and execute on seasonal campaigns for our “Live In Levi’s®” global creative, including; windows, in-Store, OOH, and print advertising. • Implement the Global Brand Marketing Priorities into goals and apply brand expectations to all creative deliverables • You'll build creative concepts that are on strategy, create fresh ideas and work towards better, more creative solutions • You'll lead presentations and articulate our design vision, while also leading and mentoring designers from concept through development • Photo direction on shoots for lifestyle, on location, in-studio and lay-downs. **Bonus points for ability to storyboard for motion, experience with VR or new media technologies for the retail space • Partner with copywriters and graphic designers to ensure all creative is aligned and communicate an on-brand message • Stay on top of trends in the design, typography and photography world • Art direct on assigned production shoots (photography and video), working closely with the photographer, stylist, crew, producer and models in proper development of shoot concept • Help with layouts for all media based on final concept approval, cataloging of shoot images, creating selects deck of all images from photo shoots • Provide support for layout, design for other marketing materials including: look books, print ads, out-of-home, seasonal zines, in-store signage, window designs • Work closely and collaboratively with creative services and project management to provide team effort on all projects and ensure we stay on brand and on schedule • Demonstrate global cultural awareness with regard to content crossing global borders and have experience working with creative collaborators and consultants • Keep up-to-date with trends, e-commerce technology, graphic design, photography and video techniques, proposing new ideas and sharing this knowledge with the team • Ensure all design layouts are optimized for end-use and delivered according to specifications, production standards, color quality standards, and digital requirements • Collaborate with Art Director on retouching rounds, direct and markup imagery for print and ecomm use • Partner with technical teams during post production; keep creative services team and project management aware of progress • Attend department, status, direction, presentation and feedback meetings to offer creative input and ensure that all assigned work is communicated and informed back to partners About You• Bachelor’s Degree or advanced degree in Graphic Design or other related areas • 6+ years of work experience as an art director/designer, including retail/fashion/apparel brand experience, ideally working within an internal consumer brand environment or advertising agency • Experienced at presenting work in a meeting environment to peers and leaders • You have a full understanding of the creative, photographic and digital processes as they relate to photo shoots and video production • You can think conceptually and design aesthetically, translating creative direction into visual references • You have expert knowledge of typography and graphic design principles, with a solid creative portfolio of produced work • Extensive knowledge of best practices for both web and pre-press print execution is a plus; working understanding of both digital and print advertising in all facets and stages of development • Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop, Acrobat; Sketch Up (or other 3D app) is a plus • You have deep knowledge of creative talent, agencies, fashion brands and other designers • Passion for the fashion industry and awareness of social trends is essential We put a lot of thought into our programs to provide you with a benefits package that matters.
