This is an exciting opportunity for a business-minded, technically savvy superstar: the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that the website is capturing the right metrics to analyze customer behavior and optimize the site. In this role, you will have the opportunity to partner with planning, strategic, marketing and merchandising teams to help solve some of the company’s most challenging issues. Duties and responsibilities • Work with business, product, and analytics to collect, refine, and prioritize data capture/tagging requirements and create technical specifications for the engineering team to implement. • Manage and inform the analytics road map. • Exercise data governance to ensure the consistency of data over time. Maintain control over the tag management system. Oversee all third-party tagging requests. • Maintain documentation of existing implementation. Work with engineering and business teams, as needed, to communicate what the implementation is designed to accomplish; define JavaScript functions that need to be executed and provide consultative direction to the engineering team around best practices and standards • Develop innovative strategies for tracking and tagging online and offline interactions, and partner with engineering team to define and oversee quality assurance testing activities to ensure accurate and efficient data collection • Partner with engineering team to diagnose issues with existing platform configurations and tags, and to provide recommendations for improvement • Direct engineering team on the data layer implementation on site and pages across website properties • Collaborate with business teams to ensure that data output is translated into meaningful, actionable and impactful information that can effectively contribute to our digital properties • Partner with Omni-channel business partners to implement data capture for cross-functional projects • Maintain working knowledge of industry best practices and changes in analytics platforms, and identify how they impact and can grow the capability Qualifications • 5+ years web analytic experience with focus on measurement design and analytic tool implementation (Adobe Analytics [Omniture Site Catalyst], Google Analytics [GAP], Google Tag Manager, Segment, etc.). • Ability to define and translate business requirements into technical requirements, code, and specifications across all digital media platforms. • Fluent in debugger tools; excellent attention to detail • Technical acumen and experience with internet technologies (HTML, Javascript, Flash, AJAX, etc.). • Strong project management skills and strong analytical skills. • Familiarity with business intelligence and reporting tools (Tableau, Looker, etc.) and A/B testing tools (Optimizely, Adobe Test & Target, etc.).
