Levi Strauss & Co. is seeking talent for our Information Technology team. We are looking to identify an accomplished Application Operations Sr. Manager that will lead our on-shore and off-shore vendor teams to provide IT functional and technical support and application maintenance to the business community in the following functional areas: SAP HANA (HANA, BW, Business Objects, Business Objects Data Services), Tableau, and Informatica MDM. Your work will involve hands-on configuration/RICEF development, delivering projects (either directly with hands-on involvement or managing the delivery through a third-party service provider/contractors) as well managing the overall quality of production support for these areas of the business. Experience implementing SAP HANA (and related reporting technologies such as Business Objects, SAP BW, Tableau) and hands-on or good grasp of Informatica MDM, or knowledgeable on the concepts of MDM. Experience implementing SAP HANA systems is mandatory with at least 5+ years of hands on configuration, implementation and support experience and 10+ years of experience in IT operations or implementation. The candidate should be flexible, knowledgeable, and can manage projects with external vendors or be involved hands on. Have experience in working with the business to collect the requirements, help them translate their needs into a Business Requirement Document and author a BRD, help create test cases and helping them with validation. Also, for larger initiatives, is capable to work with the business to create a business case/benefits case for such projects. Key Responsibilities: • Manage Service Provider to SLAs and continuous improvement in both production support and application maintenance/enhancements. • Prioritize new demand requests; authoring Business Requirements Documents; assisting the business with benefits case for larger projects and guiding on-shore off-shore vendors to achieve the same. • Authoring BRD, assisting the business with benefits case for larger projects. • Analyzing functionality gaps and developing alternatives. • Developing / reviewing delivery Project Plans with Service providers. • Configuration, Unit and Integration testing or reviewing the work done by the service providers to ensure quality. • Resolution of cross functional issues with different user groups and teams. • Prepare functional specifications or review of vendor prepared specifications for quality and completeness. • Coordination with development team and monitor the progress of developing activities and updating the status with respective teams. • Provide user training where appropriate. • Coordination with Super users in resolving the issues that arises during user training. • Offer assistance to production support team in case any L3 or L4 support is required. • Provide effective scope and issue management. • Manage projects using IT Project Life Cycle methodology when appropriate. Desired Skills and Experience • 8+ Years of experience in SAP HANA (and related reporting technologies) development or operations. • Experience in a global environment, managing vendor resources globally and partnering with global customer base • Leadership experience/in-depth knowledge of business operations and systems requirements processes. • Experience managing relational database applications, specifically SQL Server. • Experience managing multi-tier (application-database-web) Windows Server-based applications. • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or appropriate combination of education and experience. • Extensive experience with SAP HANA and related platforms (HANA 2.0 SPS03, BW 7.5, BO 4.2, BODS 4.2, Tableau 10.5.15 versions), including knowledge in (OTC , RTC , COPA , BW Technical content, and Master Data); Extensive experience in Informatica MDM ((Power Center and Data Quality Ver 9.6.1. HF2, MDM hub ver 10.0 HF2), including knowledge in (Product and Location areas); Other BI technologies, versions, etc. • Self-reliance and capability for independent work; able to work well in a team • Willing to continue to learn as technology changes • Logical approach to solving problems.
