About the Job The Senior Planner will act as a trusted business partner to support brand/category strategy and vision. The role requires strong analytical skills, financial acumen, and knowledge of the Retail market to inform the retail buy plans and set financial goals for the company. This Senior Planner will be responsible for a large volume of business, work with allocation and inventory management partners to ensure end-to-end strategy execution, and be a mentor for other planners. • Create annual plans at the division, department and classification level that support company financial goals. • Collaborate with Retail Merchants to develop customer segment productivity targets • Conduct a thorough weekly review of business to monitor and react to current trends, re-forecast department and classifications, collaborate with merchants to drive product and promotional strategies. • Manage OTB to maximize sales, inventory and turn; present financial forecast and supporting action plans at Monthly Business Reviews to management. • Drive inventory strategies; collaborate with allocation partners on timing, flow & reconciliation. • Recommend promotion, markdown, chase, cancels and other actions based on in-season business results. • Review sales & inventory forecasts to the style level on a monthly basis; ensure proper inventory levels are maintained by consistently reviewing weeks of supply and in-stock goals. • Act as a mentor, lead Planning Team processes and cross-functional projects and initiatives. • Partner with Retail Merchants to manage product life cycle • Support Retail Planning Manager in recommending profitable inventory decisions • Conduct quantitative analysis and insights to optimize line profitability—monetize new opportunities and identify risks • Analyze & publish season hindsight’s by department/category in order to recap learnings and influence future strategies. • Perform analysis on seasons’ financial and assortment performance in order to develop next seasons’ inventory plans.
