About the Job We're looking for a Senior Designer who will bring innovation and creativity to our Dockers® Design team, focusing on the men's bottoms category. We are looking for someone who has the desire to bring our product to the future while maintaining the integrity of our brand’s past. You will report to the Design Director- Bottoms. • Help develop seasonal design platforms and concepts • Identify consumer product opportunities through market and trend research • Initiate material, fabric, silhouette, and trim developments • Partner with CAD team to develop yarn dye and printed patterns and solid colors • Drive design while adhering to seasonal go-to-market calendar timelines, merchant assortment plans and sourcing location requirements • Partner with fit developer to develop fit blocks as well as participate in fit reviews • Sustain partnerships with Merchandising and Product Development to ensure products are engineered to profit and quality/aesthetic goals • Manages multiple lower level designers • Travel seasonally for trend and concept • Travel seasonally to work with Product Development and Factory partner teams on initial product designs About You• Expert knowledge of apparel history, construction and a strong aesthetic point of view with the ability to filter through a brand lens • Bachelor’s degree in Design, however a combination of college education and related work experience may be used as a substitute • Minimum 7 years of experience as a designer responsible and accountable for all facets of design and development. • Expertise in creating commercially viable and profitable product designs • Working knowledge of construction, textiles, hardware and processes • Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, MS Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook. Experience with Clo 3D simulation a plus • Interpersonal and organizational skills • An energetic, positive, helpful demeanor and a passion and interest in LS&Co.
