We are looking for a Technical Fit Manager who will bring advanced technical expertise related to garment fit, patterns and construction and lead a diverse fit and garment development team for all brands at LS&Co. You will work closely with design to understand the creative vision of the line for each season and help interpret and communicate design concepts to the product and manufacturing teams. In addition to partnering with design, merchandising and product development teams, you will also partner with overseas teams and vendors. About the Job• Lead all global fit programs and seasonal fit block development using fit intelligence and trend research to create new fits and update current fit portfolio; own fit blocks library • Manage the core fit strategy and standards reviews, lead fit sessions and fit garments with the product teams • Collaborate with Garment Developers to ensure approved fit blocks are applied to seasonal products and assist them in seasonal product garment development to ensure all block intents are met by source base for commercial sampling and final approval for bulk production • Apply knowledge of the sourcing strategy, source base, fit, construction and design aesthetics to develop fit blocks that will meet LS&CO’s product standards in a timely and cost effective manner • Collaborate with and guide Design in interpreting and translating aesthetic requirements into styling details that can provide commercially-viable products for mass production • Facilitate collaboration between Design and Product Development, Garment Developers and vendors for quality product execution and bulk production • Effective integration of all timeline processes with key internal and external stakeholders to meet all relevant “go to market” milestones • Forge partnerships with overseas technical teams as a means to drive clarity on all pattern work and fit requirements About You• Bachelor’s degree (7+ years combined college education, pattern-making training and work experience may be substituted for a degree); Design school degree a plus. • Minimum 5 years’ experience with pattern-making, focusing on the development of fit per design concepts • Experience with manual and computer aided pattern-making and grading • Drawing, flat sketching or Illustrator drawing experience • Proficiency with Word, Excel, CAD, Illustrator, PLM, Gerber or other pattern making software • Experience with 3D pattern making and fit solutions highly desired • Experience in the apparel industry focused on variety of fabrics and product types such as tops and bottoms, non-denim, denim, wovens, cut and sew knits and sweaters • Strong understanding of product development calendars and sense of urgency to meeting all required deadlines • Excellent discretion, judgment, tact and diplomacy • You have an energetic, positive, collaborative demeanor and a passion and interest in LS&Co.
