In this role, you will support the Global Controllership function which provides financial and accounting support, including external reporting (SEC), technical accounting, global consolidation and global internal controls for all of Levi Strauss & Co, a $5 Billion business. You will apply your expertise in accounting, controls, consolidation and financial reporting while fostering partnerships with key business leaders, both inside and outside of the controllership functions. Essential Responsibilities: • Assist with the identification, documentation and resolution of accounting or financial control related issues • Perform ad-hoc analysis, reconciliations and reporting • Review unique and non-recurring transactions for US GAAP compliance • Coordinate between global business services teams, corporate and local finance support teams to support controllership-related and other projects • Help implement new accounting standards and other transformative finance projects (i.e. lease accounting, purchase to pay system) • Assist with compiling and review of internal and external reporting schedules • Identify and implement process improvements Skills & Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting • CPA or CPA candidate • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience, public accounting experience preferred • Knowledge of GAAP accounting and internal control dynamics • Ability leading and motivating others and working in diverse teams • Knowledge and proficiency in financial reporting and analysis, general ledger and reconciliation processes, and development of controls and procedures • Ability to influence others to improve processes and results • Hyperion and SAP experience a plus We put a lot of thought into our programs to provide you with a benefits package that matters.
