Job Description As the Sr. Audit Accountant, you will support Levi Strauss Americas (LSA) Financial Controller in ensuring the accurate consolidation of all LSA financial data for analysis and SEC reporting purposes. You'll help strengthen the Americas processes and ensure regulation compliance. • Guide the monthly/quarterly LSA financial close processes as part of our financial management and reporting requirements • Maintain essential review and US GAAP reporting processes to US Corporate Controllers group as part of our quarterly reporting requirements, including retail store impairment reviews, embedded derivatives reporting, annual lease schedule update • Review and consolidate quarterly affiliate reporting, with appropriate focus on essential accounting areas (e.g., revenue recognition, dilutions, AR reserves, inventory) and follow-up on issues • Enforce accounting procedures and controls that maintain data integrity, reflect operating performance, and minimize risk exposure • Support SOX compliance, periodically reviewing test results and follow-up on identified deficiencies for corrective action • Improvement and enhancement of financial reporting including HFM reporting • Identify opportunities to use the Global Business Solutions (GBS) organization to improve the effectiveness of LSA financial and accounting processes • Conduct periodic reviews of essential accounting areas (revenue recognition surveys) and GL account reconciliations • Provide ad-hoc consultation to the LSA finance community for US GAAP compliance. Support impact assessments and reviews for changes in accounting and reporting e.g., revenue recognition, lease accounting. • Frequent interaction with business stakeholders, including managers and leaders in finance and other teams, to support LSA controllership goals • Build communications between the US Corporate Controllers group and the Americas affiliates (Canada, Mexico and Brazil) • Support our external audit process and requirements, being a primary point of contact for PwC • Coordinate any recurring or ad/hoc LSA inquiries and reporting for US Corporate Controller Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field • 3+ years of experience; public accounting background preferred • CPA preferred with US GAAP and SOX experience • Experience in retail and consumer industries advantageous • Customer-focused and can collaborate with multiple partners • Proficient with MS Office, including advanced Excel skills. SAP and HFM skills preferred, Essbase a plus. • Occasional travel required We put a lot of thought into our programs to provide you with a benefits package that matters.
