In this role, you will: • Work with the global trade compliance team to identify procedural needs and priorities and own documented policies and procedures for global trade compliance. • Maintain and continuously improve procedures considering practical business application while promoting responsible compliance with customs and other regulatory bodies • Construct and maintain workflow charts for core compliance functionality in support of trusted trader programs or new systems rollouts • Organize and manage procedural recordkeeping, access rights, version control and archiving • Identify gaps between global and regional policies, document regional exceptions and implement solutions as necessary • Own records management including maintenance of master records lists and effective organization of shared network drives as well as trusted trader portals • Provide procedural and workflow support for any service provider implementations or systems integrations • Coordinate educational outreach opportunities to business partners in sourcing, product development, marketing, finance, and other operational departments with a focus on valuation and business intersection points with trade compliance • Support procedural and educational needs of global trusted trader programs • Own the execution of annual validations of the First Sale for Export (FSFE) program • Apply and maintain COSO framework within all standard operating procedures manuals • Develop relationships with key internal stakeholders to stay abreast of business changes that could impact trade compliance procedures • Conduct research on application or interpretation of law as well as legislative activity and documents findings • Maintain a level of expertise on customs regulations and other gov’t agency rules that impact LS&Co. business, including: valuation, marking/labeling, rules of origin, classification, recordkeeping, and documentation requirements • Responsible for coordinating the annual training curriculum on trade compliance topics related to both customs/PGA requirements as well as internal LS&Co. ways of working. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Int’l Trade, Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field • Minimum of 5 years' working experience in a related field • Familiarity and experience with customs topics such as valuation, classification, free trade agreements, country of origin rules and other trade compliance topics • Understanding of and ability to use US Customs Regulations & ICP’s • Ability to communicate regulatory requirements to non-technical audience • Familiar with COSO framework • Familiarity with the US Customs Portals a plus • Travel: up to 5% possible We put a lot of thought into our programs to provide you with a benefits package that matters.
