We are looking for a Paralegal to join our European Legal Department (ELD), based in our European HQ in Diegem, Belgium. You will report to the Associate General Counsel and work in cooperation with the legal team and business.

Responsibilities:
• Under attorneys’ guidance, consult with business clients, interpreting company policies and programs to ensure that business practices consider policy and legal requirements.
• Research and draft summaries of facts for attorneys including statement of issues, relevant law, opinion, and conclusion.
• Review proposed programs for content and language, assessing compliance and identifying potential legal risks.
• Help develop new policies and management guidelines.
• Document and contract review and feedback to business clients.
• Manage various assignments with internal stakeholders and outside counsel using the corporate outsourcing tool and set up.
• Be a contact person with Global Legal Department on evidence gathering for TM defensive/offensive litigation cases in Europe and simple ethics and compliance questions
• Under guidance of attorney, review, edit, redline and advise on simple vendor and customer contracts working with GSS and retail and wholesale organizations throughout the region.
• Be the CLM/Apptus point person for LSE, supporting European legal team lead for the roll-out of the tool and, once operational, operating triage for legal review.
• Help building trainings in legal areas with focus on competition and data privacy compliance and manage the legal e-learning tool and program for LSE.
• Be a back-up for administrative assistant in Serengeti management.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree, or a combination of college education and related work experience
• Minimum 3 years of experience with corporate subsidiary practices
• Paralegal certificate is a plus
• Proactive approach
• Ability to handle variety of tasks
• Effective interpersonal and organizational skills
• Sensitivity to confidential materials, diplomacy
• Interest in LS&Co values and ways of working
