Levi is recruiting for a Senior Tax Manager, Domestic Compliance and Controversy to fill an opportunity in San Francisco. The tax department is seeking an experienced and motivated tax professional to join our highly competent tax team.
As the Senior Manager, you will have a critical role within the tax department. You will be responsible for managing the US federal and state tax compliance and US federal and state tax controversy and assist with domestic income tax provision. You will have significant interaction with other members of the tax team, federal and state agencies, share service center in Eugene and external service providers. As the Senior Manager, you will report to Senior Director, Domestic Tax.
⏵ Prepare, review and manage all aspects of U.S. domestic (federal and states) income tax compliance, including book/tax differences analysis, state apportionment and adjustments, federal and state tax implication of tax reform
⏵ Prepare, review and manage estimated tax calculations
⏵ Assist in preparation of domestic income tax provision for the quarterly and year-end close process
⏵ Reconcile and analyze the US income tax receivable and payable accounts
⏵ Manage US federal and state income tax examinations and provide analysis to support the tax positions taken on the returns, direct interaction with the field auditors
⏵ Be a key contact person with federal and state auditors
⏵ Research and analyze impact of tax legislation and regulatory changes
⏵ Ad hoc tax projects as required
⏵ Partner with external service providers to identify opportunities and/or address issues
⏵ Minimum 8+ years’ experience within Big 4 and/or industry with multinational operations
⏵ BA/BS degree in accounting, CPA and/or Master in tax preferred.
⏵ Experience in S4 Hana is a plus.
⏵ Ability to work independently and collaboratively. High degree of accuracy and proven ability to meet deadlines in a time sensitive environment.
⏵ Must be a detail-oriented, organized thinker with strong analytical and computer skills
⏵ Team player, self-motived, and willing to take ownership on projects
⏵ Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels and functions
⏵ Experience with ERP, S4 Hana implementation
