As Levi’s® Brand & Retail Senior Merchant you’ll direct the European merchandising and retail strategy in collaboration with global, geo and retail teams to build profitable product assortments that will maximize the revenue, productivity and brand experience within Levi Strauss Europe.

Key responsibilities include:

⏵ Build segmented product assortments across the market in line with the global vision-to optimize revenue and margin, using analytical data from sell-through and consumer insights and brand/ demand / retail planning, that will enable retail and franchisee segmentation and grading while working collaborative in a matrix structure.

⏵ Deliver an effective Go-to-market strategy in line with Global guidelines by category, style, color, price and flow.

⏵ Contribute to all aspects of Product Development activities, including Local products. Provide a POV for the development of the seasonal brief.

⏵ Educate partners on deep understanding of local social, political and creative trends and ability to anticipate consumer behaviours and inform local and global brand responses.

⏵ Present the directive assortments at internal meetings, ensure an inspiring and consistent message that builds brand equity and strengthens Levi’s® premium position in the market.

⏵ Provide consumer insights and opportunities to the Brand and Retail teams using market place expertise to support the development of the geographical business strategy

⏵ Proactively Identify potential gaps and assist in developing quick response products

⏵ Lead the brand & retail merchandising team on assortment planning, implementing global strategies within Levi Strauss Europe and ensuring the integrity of seasonal category stories and global brand vision.

⏵ Lead and motivate the brand & retail merchandising team, driven to win and innovate with a relentless focus on the consumer and the competition.

⏵ Engage and build commitment through developing individual and team capabilities.

⏵ Ability to influence and engage within the Global & Geo Merchandising and Retail team and other key relationships.

Skills & Experience:

⏵ Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Business, Marketing or other related field (8+ years combined college education and work experience may be substituted for a degree).

⏵ Minimum of 5 years direct Merchandising Experience working at an apparel company or retail Brand. Experience over multiple countries or regions is preferred.

⏵ Strong management skills inspirational and directional.

⏵ Previous experience in managing a team across countries.

⏵ Excellent numerical and analytical insights.

⏵ Strong planning and organizational skills

⏵ English is a must and other language skills are a plus.

⏵ Strong leadership –excellent verbal communication, problem solving attitude, influencing and negotiation skills, passionate while demonstrating strong vision, aligned with the Brand Value Proposition (BVP) and possesses a natural brand compassion.
