The Manager – Global Optimization & Productivity would partner in creating standardized process for our retail stores, improve operational efficiency by optimizing the product flow in store through collaboration with supply chain, improve productivity by reducing steps and touches through this journey. This will require the individual to size and act upon opportunity to improve our processes as well as mapping and dimensioning current operational processes in stores across our global fleet, including building labor standards, updating the Levi’s labor model, and building SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures). 

 

The candidate will be supporting key strategic projects such as in store inventory optimization, RFID enhancement, inbound supply chain optimization, inventory model stock calculation and support supply chain and omnichannel inventory strategy. For these key initiatives’ responsibilities will include analyzing current state performance, developing business processes, in-store testing, cross-functional engagement from development to adoption, and analysis of data and outcomes. This individual will engage with cross-functional partners in Store Operations, Brand Environment, Planning & Allocation, Global supply chain, IT, and Finance in our 3 global regions (Americas, Europe, and Asia-Middle East-Africa)

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

The Manager will perform the following main functions:

Short Term (0-15 months) 
! Support in mapping, updating and creating new store processes and labor model.
! Partner in strategic project implementation such as RFID, supply chain optimization and advanced allocation modeling
! Work cross functionally to improve product flow to store by removing Pool Points and Offsite Storage as well as increasing frequency of shipments
! Help develop lean inventory model based on demand forecasting, optimized shipment frequency & batch, safety stock and allocation
! Critical understanding of the store and upstream process and system to analyze complex problems using data, gain buy-in from key stakeholders, and being able to communicate clearly and articulately at levels of the organization.
! Build working relationships across different stake holders like Retail operations, Supply Chain and Allocation, Levi IT, regional teams and third-party vendors  
! Lead a project from projection initiation to go-live 

Long Term (15 – 36 months)  
! Able to charter long term strategic road-map in-line with DTC’s vision
! Work with team to determine end to end RFID strategy and execute against road-map  
! Work cross functionally to produce work that guides company in optimizing inventory levels for various store types- including micro assortments
! Become a SME in respected areas within the DTC productivity org  
! Drive innovation in terms of systems and processes 
! Ability to deliver short term quick wins while aligning them to the long-term vision  
! Guide the team and business to create a truly frictionless Omni channel experience for our customers through better technology and processes  

Desired Skills & Qualifications
! MBA and Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or MS in Engineering – Industrial/Supply Chain/Operations preferred
! Minimum 4+ years of experience in Supply Chain / Operations/ Labor Modelling with Retail focus preferred
! Minimum 3 years’ experience working with large data sets - analyzing, manipulating, visualizing and developing quantitative models, experience establishing KPIs and tracking program metrics 
! 1-2 years’ experience with process improvement/Six Sigma
! Ability to understand complex systems from the engineering, operations, and business perspectives 
! Experience in driving cross-functional process improvement projects from idea to implementation and adoption 
! Exceptional problem-solving and business judgment with ability to work both in a management capacity, and in a detailed, hands-on system capacity
! Program/Project Management experience on cross-functional projects in highly matrixed, rapidly changing environment
! Relentlessly resourceful and able to manage deliverables autonomously, with limited oversight
! Strong communication skills with ability to clearly explain complex issues to a range of audiences
! Passion, energy and enthusiasm to drive results with a team-oriented approach; must be self-motivated, proactive, and flexible
