In addition to day-to-day responsibilities, all interns will participate in an intern group project dedicated to a criticalbusiness initiative as well as be exposed to all areas of our business and our brands. Leadership seminars andcareer exploration series connect our interns to our leaders and educate around different career paths. Internperformance will be assessed using our internal review process.

Industrial Engineer (Graduate) Internship

The Industrial Engineer Intern will work on part of the Global Inventory Optimization & Productivity team and partner in creating standardized process for our retail stores, improve operational efficiency by optimizing the product flow through supply chain, improve productivity by reducing steps and touches through this journey. This will require the individual to size and act upon opportunity to improve our processes as well as mapping and dimensioning current operational processes in stores across our global fleet, including building labor standards, updating the Levi’s labor model, and building SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures). 

 The candidate will be supporting key strategic projects such as store inventory optimization, RFID enhancement, inbound supply chain optimization, inventory model stock calculation and supply chain and omnichannel inventory strategy. For these key initiatives’ responsibilities will include analyzing current state performance, developing business processes, in-store testing, cross-functional engagement from development to adoption, and analysis of data and outcomes. This individual will engage with cross-functional partners in Store Operations, Brand Environment, Planning & Allocation, Global supply chain, IT, and Finance in our 3 global regions (Americas, Europe, and Asia-Middle East-Africa)

The nature of the work during the internship will include:

! Support in mapping, updating and creating new store processes and labor model. 
! Partner in strategic project implementation such as RFID, supply chain optimization and advanced allocation modeling
! Work cross functionally to improve product flow to store 
! Help develop lean inventory model based on demand forecasting, optimized shipment frequency & batch, safety stock and allocation
! Understanding of the store and upstream process and system to analyze complex problems using data, gain buy-in from key stakeholders, and being able to communicate clearly and articulately at levels of the organization.
! Build working relationships across different stake holders like Retail operations, Supply Chain and Allocation, Levi IT, regional teams and third-party vendors  

Qualifications for the Internship:
! Currently enrolled in a full-time top-tier graduate program, with expected graduation in spring/summer 2021
! Working towards a Graduate degree in Engineering or Industrial/Supply Chain/Operations preferred 
! SQL/Python/R/TensorFlow/Business Intelligence (BI) to develop innovative models for data-driven process improvement, decision making and innovation
! Experience in supply chain, operations, labor modelling with retail focus a plus
! Able to work with large data sets – analyzing, manipulating, visualizing and developing quantitative models, establishing KPIs and tracking program metrics 
! Exceptional problem-solving and business judgment with ability to work both in a management capacity, and in a detailed, hands-on system capacity 
! Strong communication skills with ability to clearly explain complex issues to a range of audiences
! Passion, energy, and enthusiasm to drive results with a team-oriented approach
