We are looking for two Product Developers who will bring leadership, clarity, organization and personality to our Global Outerwear and Woven Tops product development teams. It is necessary that you have the energy and desire to aid in the execution of all activities that are necessary to produce great product on time. You will report to our Sr. Manager of Product Development.
About the Job
⏵ The position requires extensive knowledge of outerwear construction, product end-use, fit, and garment costing
⏵ Support and develop seasonal sourcing strategies in collaboration with manager and sourcing teams
⏵ Ensure products are engineered to meet the cost targets in concert with quality & aesthetic targets
⏵ Develop product with a sustainable mindset and +Net Positive without compromising aesthetics
⏵ Build and maintain diverse relationships, collaborate and build partnerships within Product Development, and across Merchandising, and Design
⏵ Manage critical path for products including costing, quality evaluation, testing and prototype approvals
⏵ Collaborate with raw material suppliers and factories to achieve ‘state of the art’ opportunities for product innovation
⏵ Bachelor's degree and 5+ years related work experience
⏵ Expertise in performance apparel construction, raw materials, trims and manufacturing methods; experience with denim a huge plus
⏵ Strong working knowledge of garment construction, pattern-making, fabric construction, fabric finishing techniques, and processes
⏵ Understanding of product costing and ability to offer appropriate solutions to help meet category margin goals
⏵ Proficient in Word, Excel, PLM and Outlook
⏵ You're able to juggle different tasks and you have the desire to work in a very fast paced environment
⏵ Effective interpersonal and organizational skills; especially when it comes to working directly with senior level directors
⏵ You are energetic, positive, helpful and have a passion and interest in LS&Co.
