Executive Communications at LS&Co. elevates the voices of our senior leaders, including our CEO, through our communications. Under president and CEO Chip Bergh’s leadership over the past eight years, we’ve set LS&Co. on a transformative path toward sustained, profitable growth while leaning on the values and industry-leading standards that have made our company thrive. We are looking for a strategic counselor and thought partner, who will establish themselves as a trusted advisor to our most senior leaders – the CEO, General Counsel and help with CFO exec visibility – to help these values-driven leaders communicate on important issues like company performance, our values-driven public stances on issues like immigration, gun violence prevention, equality, climate and civic engagement. You will help them develop their voice on the causes that matter to our partners.

We’re looking for someone to craft content in line with this portfolio and help build executive profiles for these top leaders. We are starting from a position of strength and looking for someone who will help take us to the next level. 

You’ll place special focus on creating messages and materials that:
! position LS&Co. as a thought leader and visionary,
! continue to drive our industry impact, and
! protect and advance our reputation with diverse internal and external stakeholders.

About the Job
! You will be tapped to write speeches and op-eds, outreach to journalists and experts, and help with coalition-building.
! You will be charged with creating stories and resources that promote our executive and company viewpoints, and company achievements in compelling, creative ways. This work will include narrative development, executive coaching, presentation design, executive profile building and media relations.
! Work with our direct and matrixed team to develop content focused on LS&Co. executives and company plans
! Engage with CEO, General Counsel and other senior executives on communications strategies, speaking opportunities, and company plans
! Develop speeches, messaging materials and executive prep for our engagements
! Design and execute our communications plans designed to enhance and protect the reputation of LS&Co and its most senior executives
! Innovate around narrative, storytelling and format/presentation style
! Initially, this new role will report to the Chief Communications Officer, he/she will have extensive access to the CEO and general counsel; we do anticipate establishing a global exec comms function later in the year, and this role will likely become a part of that team

About You
! You are a great writer, persuasive communicator and an independent thinker.
! You are autonomous, a relationship builder and detail oriented.
! You are curious, inquisitive, and excited to proliferate the LS&Co. story; and to push us into new areas of opportunity and influence.
! You will constantly develop new ideas for executive visibility and engagement; and work with important partners to accomplish those ideas.
! You can engage the most senior executives, collaborate with internal partners, build a network of sources and experts and think holistically to shape compelling content across multiple formats and channels. 
! Proven experience in a fast-paced environment as writer, speechwriter, communications executive, or other relevant role (we are flexible)
! Understand content development and editorial considerations
! Expert in the current media landscape with perspective on what breaks through to resonate with a range of audiences
! Efficient project management skills, including working on a high volume of projects such as planning and coordinating people, events, and operations
! You will quickly come up to speed on LS&Co. industry and our unique narratives
! Outstanding interpersonal relationship strength and sense of humor
