The Ecommerce Planner is a trusted partner to support brand/category strategy. You will be an essential team member; with financial experience of the Retail market to inform the retail buy plans. You can identify important business issues and investigate and provide analysis on opportunities and risks in the business. You will work with the merchant and allocation management partners to ensure end-to-end strategy execution and line productivity.
About the Job! Collaborate with Ecommerce Buyers to develop customer segment productivity targets (assortment architecture)
! Develop bottom-up sales and inventory plans, informing financial and inventory decisions inclusive of product mix, AIR, AUC, turn, Receipt Flow, and Markdown vs. Reg Selling.
! Evaluate the Ecommerce “Waterfall” to determine your Demand, Returns, Shipments, and Net Sales at the weekly and monthly levels.
! Collaborate with the total DTC Planning team on Omni Channel programs such as Ship from Store.
! Create and distribute weekly and monthly business recaps vs. plan and forecast, with emphasis on performance drivers and issues with solutions and influence highlighted.
! Use historical data to identify essential insights around product, pricing, and inventory and apply insights to future seasons.
! Recommend promotional pricing that maximizes sales and margin and balances inventory.
! Determine markdown and end-of-life disposition strategies for non-go forward products.
! Own Monthly in-season OTB forecast of sales, receipts, turn, and inventory needs to meet target KPIs to drive ongoing in-season strategies and maximize sales and margin.
! Maintain flexibility through opportunities of chase to execute late added marketing strategies.
! Be an agent of change and operational excellence through aiding the total planning teams to create efficiencies where opportunities exist
! Manage reconciliation between bottom-up plans and tops down targets
! Collaborate with partners to ensure consistent in-season allocation and replenishment
! Collaborate Retail Merchants to manage product life-cycle
! Support Retail Planning Leadership to recommend profitable inventory decisions and take on additional tasks as needed
! Conduct quantitative analysis to increase line profitability—monetize new opportunities and identify risks
! Perform analysis on seasons’ financial and assortment performance to develop next seasons’ inventory plans.
! “Shop” the store daily to evaluate how your product comes to life in collaboration with merchant and site partners and make recommendations for change
About You! Bachelor’s Degree, however a combination of college education and related work experience may be used as a substitute
! 2+ years of Planning experience
! Build constructive relationships with a broad, diverse group of partners
! Strong analytical skills to interpret meaningful themes from quantitative data
! Communicate important financial measures, and how they are used in essential systems/tools.
! Well versed in Microsoft Excel and open to learning new systems
! Communication across all channels with an ability to get the message across
