Master Data Management Business Lead will be responsible for developing, configuring, and delivering the Master Data Management foundation for LS&CO’s ERP program. This includes program roadmap, design, data synchronization, development, and support. The MDM Lead will manage a team of master data domain leads who will manage data loading, modeling, matching, merging, API access and data synchronization, as well as all design, performance optimization and production support of this lifecycle. The MDM Lead will be empowered to establish and implement standards and practices to ensure the highest degree of data management quality within the ERP Master Data system. You will work closely with our business and IT partners to bring increased value to the company through MDM development and support activities thus enabling us to accomplish an enterprise master data solution. This position will be responsible for setting the strategic direction of the MDM system in our ERP solution in collaboration with other MDM stakeholders while maintaining our Data Governance standards.
About the Job
The MDM Lead performs the following main functions:
! Implement master data management standards, enforce data governance procedures and ensure data integrity across multiple platforms
! Perform fit/gap analysis of our requirements against current or target solutions
! Lead our requirements and participate in technical design discussions as subject matter expert
! Manage and ensure that all Master Data Management processes incorporate Data Governance standards
! Partner with data stewards, sponsors and stakeholders to implement business processes and policies that will support a successful MDM roll out and ongoing program sustainment
! Work closely with the technical architecture team in delivering end-to-end solution
! Develop leadership candidates and succession planning
! Develop, implement and enforce best practices and operating standards
! Identify and escalate potential concerns related to project initiatives and recommend viable solutions
! Stay current with technology and industry best practices to ensure that skill set/knowledge base remains broad and current
! Forecasting resourcing and staffing needs and effectively using all available resources
! Ensure project teams are staffed with appropriate resources
! Reports to Vice President of Global Business Transformation
About You
The MDM Lead must have:
! Overall, high level knowledge of the MDM components supporting an ERP implementation
! Understand Master Data Management (MDM) architectures and business processes
! Understand Data integration, Data Quality, data architecture and Master Data Management, project life cycle Phases, best practices and processes
! Working experience in design and implementation of data profiling, data quality rules and master data implementation using Informatica IDQ and MDM tools
! Experience working with system integrators to ensure that design of MDM supports ERP functions
! Understand the broad business and global implications of strategic program decisions
! Strong management and supervisory skills
! Ability to work both in a management capacity, and in a detailed, hands-on system capacity
! Ability to work in diversified teams and guide and motivate project team members
! Strong time management skills and the ability to multi-task
! Strong analytical skills and the ability to move forward with incomplete information
! The vision and drive to lead a highly complex, cross-functional, cross-regional program
! Ability to make difficult, complex decisions under significant time pressure
! Strong leadership skills and effective negotiation and influence skills
! The ability to maintain good communication skills, including the ability to listen
! Ability to generate enthusiasm, commitment, and alignment
! Ability to articulate corporate and program vision
! Ability to lobby on behalf of the project
Basic Qualifications
! 8 or more years MDM development, data analysis and integration experience preferably in a data-intensive consumer goods or retail company.
! Experience managing MDM program in a ERP implementation in a complex global environment
! Bachelor's Degree preferably in Information Systems or Business Administration. Master's Degree in a related field is strongly desired.

! 10 or more years hands-on experience with MDM development and administration in an ERP environment/implementation
