In this role as the Manager, Business Optimization & Systems, you will serve as the centralized person responsible for building and supporting tools for the Merchandise Planning and Inventory Management (MPIM) teams. You will manage the general usage of the business systems and ensure optimization of the capabilities. In addition, you will liaise between IT and the MPIM Business; partnering with IT to ensure there are no systems issues and performance is optimal. Training and Development on business processes and systems usage will also be a critical function of this role which will require training for new users and refreshing for seasoned veterans. The teams you will support will include the US, Canada, Latin America, and the Sales team. This position reports to the Director, Levi Strauss Americas Planning Operations,

Responsibilities:
! Develop and implement innovative solutions to drive efficiency across the Levi Strauss Americas (LSA) planning organization through the support and evolution of MPIM planning systems
! Partner with MPIM leaders to understand business and technical needs
! Work with IT to build, maintain, and optimize systems & tools.  Key planning systems include: SAS, VMI
! Ad hoc projects to support planning optimization
! Lead business process and system training for SAS and other systems with a focus on planning best practices; facilitate SAS new user/refresh trainings, improve new user training experience by simplifying training worksheets and improving environment performance, monthly training sessions to support adoption of best practices from a business and system perspective
! Support development of SME network to improve user training and adoption of new functionality, enhancements and upgrades
! Ensure monthly forecast processes are completed accurately and on-time, including SAS system/worksheets set-up and maintenance
! Continually drive process and tool advancements
! Support general business system maintenance and development
! Data quality testing, ensuring all business validation testing is complete and accurate for all initiatives
! Take handoff of future SAS designs and ensure the success of the delivery, testing, and user acceptance
! Meta data development & management collaborating with SAS and IT, including document reviews and approvals
! SAS system upgrades in partnership with SAS and IT
! Merchandise re-class and location realignment management
! Partner with IT to ensure system performance meets SLA
! Master Data, stay current with master data and reporting status and updates in relation to SAS
! BI /Reporting: data quality partnership, knowledgeable of the connections and relationships to SAS

Requirements:
! Bachelor's degree in Business, Planning, IT or related field (5+ years of combined college education and work experience may be substituted for a degree)
! Minimum 5-7 years of apparel or retail experience
! SAS system knowledge
! Strong interest in training and development
! Excellent analytical skills & attention to detail to interpret meaningful themes from quantitative data
! Problem Solving & Root Cause Analysis
! Ability to set objectives & effectively manage projects
! Ability to work within a global diverse team
