As the Manager, Global Strategic Sourcing, you will work across the company to develop and execute strategies for key categories of spend. You will ensure LS&Co.’s souring needs are identified and met. As part of your category responsibilities, you will manage and develop the supplier base ensuring they have the capabilities that LS&Co. requires. You thrive in a dynamic environment building category strategies that both create efficiencies and generate value for the organization. This role reports to the Sr. Director, Global Strategic Sourcing.
Responsibilities
! Develop category strategy and execute procurement activities in line with business needs –market analyses, price and service-level benchmarking, sourcing events, supplier negotiations and ongoing supplier relationship management
! Manage procurement and sourcing processes and negotiate deliverables and costs, ensuring LS&Co. is competitive in the marketplace, limiting risk, and driving toward qualitative business goals
! Ensure that benefits from the strategic sourcing process are sustained and extended during the period of the contract
! Build market intelligence capabilities (people, database, information, analysis) within categories of focus regarding key markets, suppliers and solutions to support strategy development purposes
! Maintain relationships with other teams; assist with securing involvement of appropriate cross-functional staff for category teams
! Lead and coach sourcing analysts and other sourcing teams
Skills & Qualifications
! Bachelor's degree
! 5 years' minimum experience with indirect sourcing
! Experience working on business process improvement and strategy projects for a global company a plus
! Solid business judgement, including the ability to anticipate the impact of decisions
! Capacity to be a change agent, demonstrating persistence and resiliency when faced with challenges
! Superior analytical and problem solving skills
! Excellent negotiation and conflict management abilities
! Strong presentation skills are required
! Relationship building, internally and externally
