Reporting to the Director, LSA Men's Merchandising, t
he Assistant Merchant supports Levi Strauss America's (LSA) assortment management skills including building selling tools, supporting one or more merchants via category or channel management, and general support to inform future assortments and follow standard practices in maintaining data from which answers can be readily obtained.
Responsibilities:
! Support merchants with general channel department needs
! Support in set up of merchandise assortment presentations and reviews
! Create & maintain assortment tools for category or country needs
! Drive performance reviews of category or channel data
! Manage lifecycles of products for category or country to drive newness
! Act as a conduit of information, materials, and samples to cross functional partners
! Support in creating product training and sales tools to support product strategies
! Understand consumer and competitive landscape
Job Requirements:
! Bachelor degree preferred along with retail or merchandising experience
! Ability to effectively problem solve
! Strong verbal and written communication skills
! Detail oriented
! Proficient with software applications, particularly Microsoft Word and Power Point
