As the Planning Manager, you will have the responsibility for providing leadership to the Canada Retail Planning organization. You will be a trusted partner to the Canada Merchandising organization to support channel/category vision. You will work with Allocation and Inventory Management to ensure end-to-end strategy execution and line productivity, and will also manage one retail channel.
About the Job
! Coach, mentor and lead the Canada Retail Planning team
! Partner with Finance to create annual plans at the channel level that support company financial goals
! Collaborate with Merchandising to develop regional seasonal strategies and category targets
! Develop bottoms-up sales and inventory plans, delivering top line productivity and informing financial and inventory decisions
! Conduct weekly business reviews to monitor and react to current trends, reforecast department and categories, collaborate with merchants to promote product and promotional strategies
! Review main product sales and inventory forecasts on a monthly basis to ensure inventory levels are maintained
! Manage channel OTB to maximize sales, inventory and turn and present financial forecast and supporting action plans at Monthly Business Reviews to management
! Guide inventory strategies, collaborating with Allocation and Inventory Management partners
! Recommend promotion, markdown, chase strategies and other actions to achieve financial goals
! Conduct quantitative analysis and provide insights to increase line profitability—monetize new opportunities and identify risks
! Represent Canada Retail at essential milestone meetings, including S&OP, Investment Review and Hindsight
! Lead Planning team processes, diverse plans as needed
About You
! Bachelor's degree (6+ years of combined college education and work experience may be
! substituted for a degree)
! Minimum five (5) years planning experience, including at least two (2) years supervisory experience
! Strong analytical skills to interpret meaningful themes from quantitative data
! Proven ability to excel at leading a team and working in an ambiguous and constantly changing environment
