Purpose:

This role has the responsibility to provide leadership and direction to the Cluster Wholesale Planning team. This role will be a leader who will act as a trusted advisor to the Cluster Leadership team and to Wholesale Planning Director. This role will act as a trusted advisor to the Regional and Local Wholesale teams (Merch & Sales) to develop jointly the wholesale strategy and vision. It requires a strong connection with the Sale Director, Key Account Managers, Geo Merchants and Inventory team, to develop an aligned strategy and execution.

Key Responsibilities:
! Lead the cluster wholesale planning function, to deliver the cluster wholesale assortment planning objectives and to achieve financial targets
! Oversee the assortment architecture creation (option count) for the market and collaborate with the other cluster to create a common European architecture
! Align top-down targets with Sales and reconcile against inventory and financial targets
! Track sell-out and sell-in results, to take appropriate action to optimize sales and inventory, as well as informing assortment decision for the future
! Work with inventory management to ensure consistent in-season allocation & replenishment
! Conduct quantitative analysis and insights to optimize line profitability, monetize new opportunities and identify risks. Present results to the senior management and cross-functional partner, to grab business opportunities and minimize risks
! Provide input to the development of wholesale planning reporting and analytics activities to ensure account productivity and inventory investment. Own directly specific task-force to improve the overall way-of-working of the department
! Directly manage, develop and recruit talent for her/his team.  Build and motivate to create a highly talented, energized & engaged team.
! Join the Cluster Leadership team and collaborate with the Cluster Managing Director on planning, merchandise, inventory decisions
! Execute the preparation of and participate in local S&OP to recommend profitable inventory decisions.

Education:
! Master's degree (10+ years of combined college education and work experience may be substituted for a degree).

Experience:
! Minimum 8 years of experience in a planning function - preferably in apparel or retail industry

Knowledge / Technical Skills:
! Demonstrated forecasting/demand planning expertise, as well merchandise planning logic
! Experience in the wholesale/retail apparel industry preferred
! Experience in working with advanced and structured planning system is a strong asset
! Strong user of Excel; ability in other relevant software is a strong asset

! Demonstrated ability in building constructive and effective relationships with a broad, diverse group of cross functional business partners
! Effective leader, with strong management skills and the ability to set clear objectives
! Demonstrated innovative problem solving and partnering skills.
! Ability to flex her/his style to relevant stakeholder, as well as team members
! Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact across all levels of the organization, including leadership and the executive team.
