The Merchandise Planning and Inventory Management (MPIM) Strategy team is to shaping the future for global merchandise planning and supply management at LS&Co by changing the way we operate through innovation while keeping us ahead of the industry. You will support projects related to demand and supply integration, improvement in existing processes, assortment productivity and profitability through advanced analytics.
You will support various deliverables including market benchmarking, analyses to evaluate strategic and operational initiatives, process or operating procedure documentation as part of project execution, reporting and monitoring of key performance indicators and ad-hoc analysis. You will report to the Manager, Global Pricing.
Responsibilities
! Support the annual strategic planning process
! Grow and achieve strategic analysis, provide presentations that guide executive decision-making around primary business issues
! Partner with diverse teams including Global Merchandise Planning, Global Supply Management and Regional MPIM teams
! Support implementation of top-priority strategic and operational projects
! Monitor performance across strategic and operational projects as measured by milestones and important performance indicators
! Conduct benchmarking
Qualifications
! BS/BA degree in related field
! 2-3 years experience in merchandise planning, strategy, data analytics, demand forecasting, inventory management, allocation / replenishment and / or financial planning
! Experience at a top-tier management consulting firm or internal strategy team
! Ability to partner with diverse teams
! Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel required; can build templates, use reporting tools & systems, manipulate large quantities of data to guide insights and decisions
! Proficiency in Microsoft Powerpoint with an ability to craft presentations of important messages and storyline developed from analytical work
! Hunger to learn, problem-solver and positively influence the organization
! Apparel/retail industry experience and interest a plus
