We are looking for a Senior FLX Design Manager in Levi’s® Men’s Bottoms responsible for developing denim finishes/washes. You will report to the Director of Men’s Global Design. This is a unique role with an emphasis on denim finishing techniques. You have a knowledge of the contemporary denim market, a passion for denim fabric innovation, experience in denim fit, and an eye for Men’s denim trends. A high taste level and an appreciation for the Levi’s DNA is essential.
About the Job
⏵ Drive innovation of the category through Laser finish development
⏵ Liaise between our innovation lab and our design team regarding denim finishes, especially those executables via laser
⏵ Research and monitor the consumer and marketplace to identify opportunities to stay ahead of the competition
⏵ Develop on-brand, trend-right product that drives equity and profitability for the Levi’s® brand and upholds our aesthetic standards.
⏵ Collaborate with Director in developing seasonal concepts and color and print stories.
⏵ Analyze current selling and consider when developing into future trends
⏵ Build diverse relationships, leading collaboration and partnerships within Design, and across Merchandising, and Product Development and our Senior FLX Design Manager in Levi’s® Women's Bottoms
⏵ Develop the strategy and innovation to meet seasonal product assortment needs and COGS targets
⏵ Deliver to GTM timelines, processes and deliverables
⏵ Design and develop product with a sustainable mindset and +Net Positive without compromising aesthetics
⏵ Guide technical design packs communicating style, size, proportion, scale, and attention to details, manage and drive fittings to ensure laser patterns execute flawlessly
⏵ Bachelor’s degree in Apparel Design, or a combination of college education and industry-related work experience may be used as a substitute
⏵ 8+ yrs experience as a designer, responsible for all facets of design and development
⏵ 4+ yrs experience specifically as a men’s denim designer
⏵ Expertise in textiles and product development; working knowledge of garment construction, patternmaking, denim fabric construction, finishing techniques, and processes
⏵ Proficient on all design platforms – Adobe CC and PLM program
