The Store Planning function helps the retail team meet financial goals by translating product strategies into store clusters and ensuring that each store’s profitability and potential is optimized. Through detailed analysis of store level performance and partnership with the field leadership team, you will help forecast and balance inventory across the fleet. You will also support the opening of new/relocation stores, and most importantly be the trusted advisor to the planning, merchandising and allocation functions within retail.

About the Job

⏵ Build preseason store clusters to support merchandising strategies and financial plans

⏵ Create in-season store/category deviations in allocation system to inform initial flow quantities and maximize store level opportunities 

⏵ Manage and balance store level inventory by communicating inventory position and suggested plan of action to planning and allocation teams

⏵ Partner with field teams on store specific sales opportunities and work back with diverse teams to address

⏵ Forecast required stock levels to achieve essential seasonal/promotional time-frames within the business

⏵ Create store level reporting to give us a clear view to our performance by door and aggregated performance by store cluster/region

⏵ Manage new/relocation store opening process and recommend capacity requirements/inventory strategies to support financial targets

⏵ Recommend and analyze results for store/cluster specific promotional opportunities aimed to optimize KPI performance

⏵ Collaborate with merchandising to identify localized assortment/allocation opportunities and present data-informed solutions

⏵ Maintain store level attributes in global databases 

⏵ Align with Global Store Planning lead and regional store planning peers to adopt best practices

About You

⏵ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

⏵ 3+ years of retail allocation/planning/ store planning or related analytical experience

⏵ Mathematical aptitude with abilities to summarize and draw conclusions from large data-sets and understanding of how to enhance important financial measurements

⏵ Strong partnership skills to work with diverse teams and convey well-informed point of view

⏵ Flexible to changing priorities with desire to guide process improvements

⏵ You are able to work independently to ensure needs and deadlines are met

⏵ Excel (can perform complex functions) and experience working with Business Intelligence Software
