JOB DESCRIPTION
Manage, Evaluate, Advise (This responsibility is 50% of the job)
! Engage with the LSE retail business to “solve” business problems via technology and process innovation relative to IT capability requirements for our retail store systems in LSE.
! Design, build and manage technical retail systems capabilities and oversee suppliers and local vendor partners as part of the Global Retail Store Technology team to support on-going needs of our Retail Store Operations Leadership and delivery of approved retail IT projects (according to agreed 18-month Release Calendar).
! Manage service level agreements and compliance with suppliers and local vendor partners
! Manage the Business/IT relationship and ensure alignment (primarily on production support related items).
! Support service delivery, KPI, and trend reporting.
! Chair and manage regular business customer meetings with focus on status review and continuous improvement opportunities.

Plan & Define: (This responsibility is 30% of the job)
! Establish a full operational understanding for how our business operates to gain insight into improving technology availability and IT experiences.
! Focus on improving the “Core” IT Infrastructure within our Retail stores including Networking, POS Hardware, Monitoring and iPod mobile devices.
! Design & Implement solutions to ensure our IT operations teams can proactively resolve technology errors prior to the stores reporting the event.
! Design and Support of Retail store technology components like POS and related peripherals, wireless networking, VOIP, payment systems, traffic counters.
! Provide expertise to support the creation and certification for new POS hardware, Operating System Upgrades and Payment Systems
! Lead the strategy and oversee operational execution to maintain our Retail standards globally
! Ensure all new solutions are designed and architected in a scalable and long-term supportable model.
! Drive standardization and simplification (technology & process) across the LS&Co Global Retail landscape.

Build & Test (This responsibility is 10% of the job)
! Lead the implementation for Retail Infrastructure focused store improvements
! Provide project leadership and execution (design, POC/test, build, deploy) within projects requiring IT solutions in support of retail business systems projects across the globe.
! Ensure the successful delivery of IT projects based on timely delivery and quality of assigned deliverables (technical specifications, POC, testing, build, deploy) and within defined variance thresholds for schedule and budget, as well as adherence to established global IT project, business process/requirements management methodology, governance/check-point, release management, and standards.

Run & Maintain (This responsibility is 10% of the job)
! Provide Subject Matter Expertise and Support for our L1 and L2 operations teams.
! Partner with Commercial Digital Technology service providers to provide required training, documentation and escalation points.

Key Relationships:
! Reports to the Senior Manager – IT (Retail IT Operations, Commercial Digital Technology)
! Peers:  Leaders in the Commercial Digital Technology team and Europe IT leaders
! Other key relationships: Retail Business Operations team, Onshore/Offshore partners, Senior IT leadership
! Travel: Team and scope is global so we anticipate ~ 20%+ travel both domestic and international.  Travel will increase during certain system rollouts and / or planning cycles.
