JOB DESCRIPTION
As Dockers® Merchandiser you will lead the selection / assortment of consumer relevant, market-leading products for our stores in Europe. Using consumer data, trends, and competitive intelligence and directly manage assortment choice and investments to deliver the strategic, financial, and brand equity objectives of the company.

Key Responsibilities:
!
Accountable for achieving plan metrics of Retail Sales, Gross Margin, and Inventory

!
Develop strategic assortment plans that contain the appropriate product mix to support key performance targets, including sales, profitability, and brand equity

!
Develop assortment plans/ranges to achieve consumer proposition and margin requirements

!
Determine assortment investments, product lifecycle, and product pricing guidelines to maximise profit and consumer value

!
Lead cross-functional business and product teams to implement long-term and short-term actions to maximise business results

!
Partner with Global hub on seasonal consumer point-of-view and the commercialisation of that view to optimise volume and profitability ?

!
Determine consumer strategies that define/guide decisions around the brand product offering; ensures product decisions, including fit, finish, fabric, and style, support and align with brand portfolio strategies

!
Present seasonal line and business strategies to key partners to gain approval and alignment

!
Coordinate on-site product presentation in conjunction with the online Marketing team

 

Essential Skills and Requirements:
!
Commercial experience of Wholesale Buying/Merchandising gained in apparel and/or accessories, ideally in a large multiple retail environment

!
Business Acumen: Applies seasoned judgment. Externally focused and market driven, stays current on market/industry developments, the competition and consumer trends to identify business and brand implications. Grasps the full meaning of intercompany relationships and functional indicators.

!
Problem Solving: Flair for getting straight to the most critical issues. Creative problem solver. Inspires innovative thinking and strategically leads the development of complex and integrated problem solving and planning processes.

!
Influence: Drives resolution to conflicting interests and/or priorities. Skilled at challenging and influencing all functions.
