The Senior Network Engineer who will be responsible for the design, development, operation and support of our network and telecom/telephony services. This includes the various LANs and WANs as well as Cisco Unified Communications, wireless and wired devices. This person will work with IT management, internal and external partners to design, deploy and operate high performance, highly available networks and services across multiple datacenters, cloud service providers (AWS/Azure) and geographies.
Responsibilities
Analyze, design and deploy technology supporting the networking and telephony needs of a global business
Design, analyze and operate multiple network services such as LANs, WANs, CANs and VoIP
Be a key partner and/or leader in all network related projects
Participate in day to day support activities
Participate and ensure adherence to compliance requirements.
Be a mentor
Skills We're Stoked About
Proven LAN and WAN design experience in a large enterprise environment
Strong experience managing (Availability, Security, Performance & Change) switches, routers and firewalls in a multi-vendor environment
Strong knowledge of network protocols and supporting services
Knowledge of physical network infrastructure
Knowledge of VoIP technology and services
Experience using WAN acceleration technologies
Proven ability to develop technical and operational documentation
Ability to code and/or scripting
Familiar with process re-engineering projects
Being an excellent communicator and enjoy collaborating with others
CCIE or equivalent knowledge
Ideal Product Experience:
Cisco WAN/LAN hardware
Brocade network hardware
Palo Alto Networks firewalls
AWS networking and firewalls
Cisco, Meraki or Aerohive wireless infrastructure
Cisco Unified Communications infrastructure stack
