Responsibilities:
Manage Audits, including audit requests, timelines and waivers
Research tax regulations and tax rules to support projects and initiatives
Provide tax guidance and rules to support and collaborate with internal stakeholders such as IT, Customer service, Accounting, and Supply Chain/logistics
Collaborate with tax team members on various projects
Manage indirect tax compliance
Manage tax rates, tax classification and exemption documentation
Monitor current tax rules and legislative changes
Review and approve monthly tax accruals, journal entries and related supporting documentation
Review current processes and work collaboratively within the Company on process improvements
Prepares/reviews data and information analysis leading to business decisions or recommendations. May include informal presentations
Skills We're Stoked About
5-10+ years U.S. income tax experience, Accounting firm (Big 4 preferred), government or multi-national industry experience is a plus
Strong indirect taxes skills (sales/use tax, VAT, GST, etc.)
Ability to collaborate, lead and build effective teams cross-functionally
Ability and willingness to roll up your sleeves, manage projects, and establish process
Bachelors degree with an emphasis in Accounting
Experience and working knowledge of indirect taxes and sales tax automation systems such as Avalara, Vertex, Sabrix, etc.
Working knowledge of Netsuite, Microsoft Excel and Word
Good written and oral communication skills
