As the Localization Manager you will be responsible for driving all aspects of our process, from interaction with our our in-country offices and external partners to directy supporting our business internationally. By managing the day-to-day steps that ensure all retail, digital, channel and a variety of assets reach our partners and customers worldwide, you will be a key contributor to amplifying our brand globally.

Responsibilities
Lead all marketing localization efforts including budget, planning and execution to deliver high quality localized campaign, retail, digital and launch assets to our distributors, partners and customers in over 30 languages.
Manage interaction and conflict resolution with cross functional teams, in-country offices, localization service providers and validation agencies eliminating any hurdles that might impact timely and quality delivery.
Provide solutions and guidance to potential challenging localization scenarios by participating at early stages of campaign concepting and ideation to drive a global from the start mindset.
Coordinate all day-to-day steps in the localization cycle, from requirements, budgeting, scheduling to file transfer, vendor coordination and final delivery to requestor.
Handle diverse project requests, requirements and initiatives from multiple stakeholders including Customer Support, Consumer Insights, Training, CRM, Advertising, Channel Marketing, Web, PR, Social, Multimedia, Creative PMs, as well as Product Marketing and in-country teams.
Establish strong relationships internally and externally to ensure the flow of communication is efficient, timely and clear so that answers to a variety of content, functionality and other potential questions are addressed and published to all relevant parties.
Able to calibrate and roll out updated processes and procedures to ensure consistency and adherence to GoPros brand guidelines, glossaries and style guides.
Ability to evangelize localization best practices and its value to the organization.
Manage improvements for our localization tools and systems by identifying gaps and gathering requirements to improve overall operations and enable better support.
The ideal candidate has at least 6 years of experience in the localization industry managing high visibility projects, ideally in the context of a global brand marketing team.

Proven experience of envisioning and providing creative solutions to such challenges.
Ability to establish, deploy and enforce localization processes, procedures, and overall workflows within a marketing organization while continuing to improve and adapt them for optimal results across the company.
Proactive, excellent problem solving and communication skills
Ability to navigate with ease, communicate and interact across culturally diverse and globally distributed teams.
Excellent project management skills and great attention to detail
Comfortable working in a rapidly changing environment where ambiguity, pivots and short turnaround schedules are the norm.
Hands-on experience with localization tools and platforms such as Globalink, Trados, WorldServer, Smartling
Experience with video localization, including technical aspects of editing, subtitling and voice over.
Ability to work with minimal supervision, prioritize and drive key decisions in a distributed and fast pace environment
Fluency or native in at least two languages besides English strongly preferred
BA/BS degree in related field required; MA/MS is a plus
