Position
GoPros Education and Training team is seeking a top tier candidate for the Education and Training Specialist based out of our GoPro HQ in San Mateo. This individual fosters a community of credible influencers and extend the reach and reinforce education and training across key marketing, sales, and internal initiatives in the Americas Region. He/She will drive face to face training execution in region, support core training initiatives with program management, and identify and administer process improvements for the department. The ideal person embodies the GoPro brand and is able to bring the brand to life during execution of our programs within various channels and verticals
Responsibilities
Drive face to face training execution in region (training events, trade shows, sales summits and QBRs, PR and marketing events, internal etc)
Establish community experience with retail partners; creating open lines of communication
Manage partnerships with distributors, partners, and retailers to initiate and execute training initiatives as well as internally with key cross functional teams i.e. GoPro Awards Community
Work with the sales team to impact sell thru, attach and return rates
Work with the sales team to track KPIs and ROI on all training initiatives
Become an expert and catalog our retailers and distributors training programs and their selling and merchandising strategies
Visit field regularly to maintain realistic view on program: Distributors, Account Managers, Retailers, end consumers and competitors
Support managing video based LMS, (Learning Management System), online strategy and execution including updating, day to day maintenance and platform improvement projects.
Support production of local and localized training video content.
Identify and execute improvement initiatives linked to business objectives
Track all events and other training programs to provide KPIs and ROI. Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques.
Identify, develop, and roll-out new processes when appropriate
Requirements
College degree in associated field and/or 3+ years of related experience
Exceptional organizational and communication skills (written, verbal, interpersonal, etc.)
Speaks English and ideally one or more of the following languages, (Spanish, Portuguese), must have exceptional presentation and communication skills (written, verbal, interactive, etc.)
Comfortable facilitating and coaching teams in a fast paced, solutions-oriented environment
Experience working with distributors and key accounts in a sales/marketing/training capacity
Ability to solve problems by breaking down complex information into consumable content
Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience with eLearning, mobile platforms
Ability to Project manage, multitask, and work in an autonomous environment with little direction or supervision
Ability to work cross functionally with key teams within the GoPro organization
Ability to work effectively in a team environment as needed
Ability to remain flexible and adaptable to the clients' culture and constant evolution
Strong research skills, Tech savvy, use or knowledge of the GoPro ecosystem is a plus
Strong working knowledge in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Adobe products and other video editing software.
Willing to travel 50-70% of the time, including International travel
