Position
GoPro is looking for a top tier candidate for the Senior Hardware Engineer role. This Senior Hardware Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing innovative hardware that drives GoPro eco-system. The ideal candidate is a system thinker with experience in Power Management IC, Analog and Digital Circuit design & PCB design for consumer electronics environment.

Responsibilities
Lead the electrical design of low cost PMIC design and Power strategy for GoPro products
Work closely with Architecture, Mechanical and Firmware Engineering teams to make design decisions and trade-offs
Investigate, study, and introduce new designs utilizing state of the art components
Capture and review schematics, guide PCB layout design
Develop high-volume products designed for manufacturability and debug all power related issues
Support products from initial concept through manufacturing bring up
Work closely with our development partners, including managing technical assignments and providing detailed guidance
Guide our testing and certification teams
Guide test development. Write product test plans. Perform bench level debug and performance testing

Skills Were Stoked About
Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree is required, Masters degree is preferred
Over 7 years experience in hardware development in consumer electronics wireless and networking products
Familiar with the design process from concept through circuit design and system integration
Hands-on experience with bring up and trouble-shooting of boards and systems
Low cost portable consumer electronics design experience integrating RF, video, MCU interfaces, audio, and wireless low power systems in a space constrained product
In depth knowledge of some or all of the following: Power management, MCU, Battery Management, display interface HDMI, MIPI, DP
Experience in communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, SDIO, JTAG, UART, I2S, USB2.0, USB3.0, PCIe, USB PD etc.
Knowledge of WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS is a plus
Proficiency with electrical lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, function generators).
Ability to work crossfunctionally, coupled with strong interpersonal and communication skills
System thinker; results and deadline driven
Able to work independently and with little direction in a fast pace environment
Consummate team player
Takes great pride and ownership in designs produced
