The globalization team is searching for an experienced localization professional to lead our web localization strategy and deliver the best global experience to our customers. In this role you will drive initiatives across multiple departments and disciplines making a significant impact on the efficacy of our web localization program. You will ensure localization tools and plaforms are adequately meeting our ecosystem needs and best practices are established and followed. You will assess existing processes and overall approach and improve them to deliver solutions that enhance quality, consistency and the overall localized web experience. You will be a key contributor to amplifying our digital presence and our brand globally.
Drive and execute cross functional initiatives implementing improved solutions to our website localization program
Roll out and enforce web localization best practices while aligning with regional requirements and global strategy
Establish and manage LQA validation approach for all web properties including defect criteria and severity as well as overall testing methodology
Manage and maintain selected Globalization Management System (GMS) solution and other supporting platforms including connectors and content management systems.
Responsible for linguistic and localization quality, maintenance and adherence to glossaries and style guides as well as brand voice and tone authenticity across the GoPro ecosystem
Develop KPIs in partnership with our vendors to help validate, calibrate and continuously improve web localization driving standardization and efficiency across the organization
Manage web budget keeping track of run rate and overall quarterly and yearly spend.
Skills Were Stoked About:
Minimum six years of experience in a web localization of a major global lifestyle brand
Extensive knowledge of internationalization and localization approaches, tools and processes across multiple content types including mobile, web, firmware and other mediums such as marketing/print collateral; technical documentation, etc.
Hands-on experience with localization tools and platforms and other systems such as Trados, TMS, WorldServer and Smartling, SalesForce, AEM, etc.
Familiarity with HTML, XML, Json and other file formats
Ability to work with minimal supervision, prioritize and drive project execution and deliver results with multiple stakeholders and in a globally distributed team
Comfortable working in a fast pace and rapidly changing environment where ambiguity and short turnaround schedules are the norm.
Fluency in at least two languages besides English strongly preferred
BA/BS degree in related field required; MA/MS is a plus
