The globalization team is searching for an experienced professional to improve upon our localization strategy and execution and deliver the best global experience to our customers. In this role you will drive initiatives across multiple departments and disciplines making a significant impact on the efficacy of our localization program. You will ensure tools and plaforms are adequately meeting our ecosystem needs and best practices are established and followed. You will manage day-to-day requests from a variety of stakeholders, interact with our in-country offices and manage our external providers. You will be a key contributor to amplifying our digital presence, product reach and brand impact globally.
Responsibilities
Drive and execute cross functional initiatives implementing improved solutions to our localization program
Own all day-to-day steps in the localization cycle, from requirements, budgeting, scheduling to file transfer, vendor coordination and final delivery to requestors
Manage interaction and conflict resolution with cross functional teams, in-country offices, localization service providers and validation agencies eliminating any hurdles that might impact timely and quality delivery.
Provide solutions and guidance to potential challenging localization scenarios by participating at early stages of concepting and ideation to drive a global from the start mindset.
Roll out and enforce localization best practices while aligning with regional requirements and global strategy
Establish and manage LQA validation approach to key elements of our ecosystem including defect criteria and severity as well as overall testing methodology
Develop KPIs in partnership with our vendors to help validate, calibrate and continuously improve localization while driving standardization and efficiency across the organization.
Manage improvements to our localization tools and systems by identifying gaps and gathering requirements so as to enable better execution.
The ideal candidate has at least 8 years of experience in the localization industry managing high visibility projects, ideally in the context of a global lifestyle brand company

A strong understanding of localization best practices, tools,processes and vendor management required
Ability to evangelize localization best practices and its value to the broader organization
Passionate and knowledgeable about localizations unique challenges with proven experience of envisioning and providing creative solutions to such challenges.
Proactive and excellent project manager with great analytical, problem solving and communication skills
Ability to navigate with ease and interact across culturally diverse and globally distributed teams
Comfortable working in a rapidly changing environment where ambiguity, pivots and short turnaround schedules are the norm
Familiarity with a variety of content management systems and localization platforms deployed to support a wide range of assets
Experience with video localization, including technical aspects of editing, subtitling and voice over
Fluency or native in at least one language besides English required, two or more strongly preferred
BA/BS degree in related field required; MA/MS is a plus
