GoPro is seeking a top tier candidate to be the Vice President of Sales Operations. The position will oversee the global sales operations activities with teams in Hong Kong, San Mateo and Amsterdam. The Vice President of Sales Operations will track and manage channel inventory, compile, analyze and maintain channel inventory sell thru data, partner with the product team to develop forecasts for new products and facilitate inventory management and sales strategies to help the sales organization achieve their quarterly revenue goals. In addition, the role will develop and maintain relationships with all sales personnel & channel partners to ensure timely, accurate and prompt forecast submissions, work with Sales and Finance departments to develop and administer the company's worldwide sales forecast, planning and delivery.
Primary Responsibilities
Lead Sales Operations department to support the achievement of sales targets through the administration and operation of GoPros sales forecast, planning and delivery processes
Engage with VP of Sales to ensure we are providing world class operational support to our account managers and our customers. Deliver accurate, fresh, complete and meaningful metrics to decision making.
Support and work closely with key stakeholders to ensure alignment of Sales Operations with the overall business strategy.
Collaborate with senior leadership team in understanding sell-in, weekly sell thru, WOS and end of life strategies to facilitate better decision making and reporting.
Drive organizational process to ensure timely data delivery, increase analytics and streamline S&OP preparation. Lead monthly S&OP, demand/supply review meetings.
Partner with business analytics team to understand historical trends as well as current sell thru trends, using the data to understand the health of the business by region
Champion continuous improvement within Sales Operations including the implementation of a Sales Forecasting Tool to automate the connection between demand planning, account planning, commit planning and supply chain. As needed, educate and engage partners on the S&OP process.
Participate in the recruitment, training and development of our global Sales Operations team. Mentor internal leadership and build talent within organization.
Skills Were Stoked About
15+ years of experience in fields of Sales, Operations or Sales Operations, 10+ years experience as a senior leader within an organization
Outstanding leadership and communications skills (verbal and written)
Successful track record of developing advanced performance metrics and improvement programs that drive meaningful results
Proven ability to partner effectively cross functionally and drive to solutions with various stakeholder groups
Understand the balance between tactical sales execution and goals and the importance of brand and standard
Proven experience in advocating for and managing a decentralized group of employees
Track record of working in a fast-paced fluid environment
Undergraduate degree required
