This VP of Finance position will report to Brian McGee, GoPro's CFO, and oversee global Financial Planning and Analysis (including forecasting, financial modeling, long-range planning and management reporting; OPEX and headcount planning; product, marketing and sales finance), Treasury, and Risk Management. The role will also partner closely with the Corporate Development team on M&A. The role oversees a growing team of 15 employees, based in San Mateo.
Responsibilities:
Finance Business Partnership: Build a partnership with GoPro's senior leaders and ensure the company hits revenue targets, has the capacity in both systems and people to support growth, and manages costs to plan.Support the Company's push into Software and Services.

Forecasting and Reporting: Drive department-level budgeting, tracking and reporting processes, with the goal of consistently forecasting and beating quarterly expectations. Improve the forecasting process through increased automation and process optimization.
Planning: Develop robust short-term financial plans and own all aspects of the balance sheet, income statement and cash flow projections.Broadly influence corporate decisions in areas such as product roadmap, pricing, international expansion plans, and investing in new businesses (such as Software/Services). Partner closely with product marketing on long-range (3-5 year) planning.

Treasury: Build out the Treasury function and implement a foreign exchange/hedging program to support international growth and increasing transaction volume in local currencies.
Portfolio Management: Bring a deep understanding of key business drivers that will shape the future of GoPro's business to help the company effectively and efficiently allocate financial resources and make sound decisions to support growth while mitigating risk exposure.
Communicate Financial Strategy: Effectively communicate, to different audiences across the company, GoPro's financial strategy and priorities along with rationale supporting decisions to grow profitably.
Build Capabilities: Partner with the CFO to build and develop the broader Finance team into a world-class organization.
Skills We're Stoked About:
The ideal candidate will bring a mix of experience across larger publicly-traded enterprises and smaller, high-growth companies.
S/he will have held progressively senior FP&A or Divisional CFO type roles and may have previously held a VP, Finance or CFO role for a smaller company.
The candidate will have experience with scale and global complexity, as well as experience supporting growth through new business models and ancillary revenue streams.
Recent experience in the Software/SaaS, Digital Media and/or Consumer Technology segments is preferred.
In addition to operational finance experience, exposure to corporate-level finance functions, including Treasury, Tax, IR, and M&A is a plus, but not required.
The candidate should have a general understanding of accounting principles and will be reasonably technical
CPA/CMA is not required, but is a nice-to-have.
A good understanding of tax and prior experience managing a tax organization would be a plus but is not required.
The candidate will bring a strong business and operational orientation to the table and will demonstrate a track record of close partnership with the senior leaders of an organization, influencing business decisions and strategy.
S/he will be able to see around corners and anticipate future business scenarios, enabling the company to plan for, and invest in, future growth wisely.
The candidate will also have worked cross-functionally, both inside and outside of Finance, to collaboratively develop budgets/plans and promote financial discipline.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience aligning investment of resources against a company's business strategy and objectives, resulting in significant growth.
S/he will have demonstrated sound judgment and the analytical ability to understand short- and long-term opportunity costs around key initiatives.
The VP of Finance will understand how to forecast and monitor different types of revenue and costs.
S/he should also excel at aligning OPEX and headcount requirements with growth expectations.
The ideal candidate must reflect good cultural alignment with GoPro.
