The Director of Infrastructure will be responsible for all global compute, storage, network and data center services. You will manage a team of talented independent individuals and guide them into a new era of infrastructure operations through process re-engineering and automation. You will be a key partner to the security, applications, helpdesk and BI teams within IT and align with other business units as needed.
Responsibilities
Set the vision, develop the roadmap, and implement GoPros next-generation infrastructure services
Ensure all new technologies and services are implemented with no disruptions to the business
Manage the infrastructure team and provide career coaching and development opportunities
Manage the operational support for all IT services (computing, storage, network and data center services), globally
Work closely with the InfoSec team to improve system and infrastructure security across IT
Establish and improve operational management processes
Ensure high availability of all infrastructure services and oversee any IT outages
Skills Were Stoked About
BS in Computer Science/Engineering, or related engineering equivalent experience
At least 5 years of management experience
Project Management experience
Being an excellent communicator and collaborating with others
Experience driving change through metrics
Experience with management processes (ITIL) and tools like ServiceNow, JIRA etc.
Experience with the challenges of compute deployments in AWS, Azure, VMWare, in-house data centers and others
Developed highly available, secure, and dynamic infrastructures
Familiar with deployment technologies like Kubernetes, Chef, Puppet etc.
Familiar with MDM technology
Comfortable with Linux, Windows and MacOS
Familiar with process re-engineering projects
