GoPro is seeking a top tier candidate for the Image Processing Engineer role. This position will help design and develop methodologies that are required to analyze, correlate, and improve the image quality of GoPro's camera product line. Specifically, the Image Processing Engineers responsibilities include tuning the entire ISP to improve image quality, performing root cause analysis of image artifacts and mitigating poor image quality performance. The position also requires designing and developing scripts for aiding in collecting and analyzing image quality.
Responsibilities
Correlate and automate software for optimized image quality tuning
Interface with sensor and optics teams
Interface with ISP chip vendors and camera integrators
Interface with firmware team
International travel required
Skills Were Stoked About
B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Image Processing, or related fields
1-2 years of industry experience in ISPs, image processing, filtering techniques, camera tuning and calibration, or in closely related field
Expertise in C, C++, as well as Matlab and/or Python Scripting languages
In-depth knowledge of and experience in objective image quality measurement and testing
In-depth knowledge of and experience in subjective image quality evaluation
Ability to work well individually and within groups with strong interpersonal communication skills
