Senior Finance Manager, Corporate FP&A

GoPro is seeking a top tier candidate for the Sr. Manager, Corporate FP&A role. This person will be a key member of the GoPro financial planning & analysis team and has a major role in supporting the companys reporting, planning and analytic efforts. This position will partner closely with the senior leadership within Finance, the general and administrative functions, and in the broader company. A successful candidate will be able to work closely with the business to implement the necessary processes and controls to ensure financial results are accurate and in line with company goals and targets. Additionally, this person will be responsible for surfacing and presenting key business insights and recommendations to the FP&A team and senior business leadership.
What You Will Do
Coordinate and consolidate managerial reporting, including monthly Flash report, quarterly CFO Review, Quarterly Business Review, and Board of Directors reports.
Supervise the preparation of quarterly P&L forecasts, including revenue, COGS, headcount and operating expenses, as well as balance sheet and cash flow forecasts, which are used by the CFO for strategic planning and presentations to the Board, and for external guidance.
Work in concert with the Accounting team through the monthly close process, ensuring that accruals are accurate and submitted on schedule. Provide feedback to the broader FP&A team, questioning anomalies and making sure that all necessary adjustments are made. Represent FP&A in the monthly balance sheet and income statement reviews.
Facilitate the annual budget cycle, collaborating with the senior finance team in the review of channel inventory and revenue projections, gross margin assumptions, and serving as the point person for developing operating expense targets for the business, and in the review of proposed operating expenses by business leaders.
Monitor the external analysts models of GoPros financial performance, highlighting inconsistencies and/or outliers.
Serve as the senior finance business partner to the general and administrative functions of the company, reviewing their operating and capital spending against targets and forecasts, providing guidance on accounting questions, and providing ad hoc analysis as needed.
Review the weekly cash forecast. Review and release interbank transfers, as well as vendor and payroll wire and ACH transfers.
Support GoPros internal control processes by reviewing all relevant internal and external reporting for accuracy and consistency. Maintain FP&A procedures to align with internal control requirements.
Provide ad hoc analyses to the CFO and senior finance leadership as needed.
Supervise and mentor one senior financial analyst.
Skills Were Stoked About
Bachelors in Finance or related field; MBA preferred
6-8 years progressive FP&A experience
Self-motivated work style with the capacity to work well under pressure and multi-task with minimal direct supervision in a team environment
Possess a superior attention to detail and a commitment to timely but accurate work
Easily build relationships across the organization and optimize those connections
Ability to take an ambiguous concept/task and complete in an effective way with minimal direction
Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to convey information concisely at an executive level, written and verbally
Knowledge of financial tools and processes and understanding of accounting principles
Advanced proficiency with Excel
Experience with NetSuite, Workiva and Planful (formerly Host Analytics) preferred
