This role will leverage the candidates software quality assurance experience to help test and deliver a video rendering engine that lies at the heart of the GoPro software ecosystem. The Staff QA Engineer will be responsible for testing parts of the GoPro product suite, including mobile and desktop software, as well as firmware for both spherical and non spherical GoPro cameras. The Staff QA Engineer will work departments in multiple locations to validate test coverage, execute automated and manual tests, and help generate automated quality reports for company-wide visibility. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing and testing software in an agile development environment, have knowledge of digital video and video editing tools, and have top notch interpersonal and organizational skills.
What will you do ?
Help develop and test highly innovative professional desktop and mobile products
Collaborate with Engineers, UX and Product Design to help define and test new features
Use and test the GoPro camera as part of the software ecosystem
Lead QA strategy for the engine at the heart of the GoPro Ecosystem
Integrate with a global test team located in San Diego, Bucharest, and Paris
Use automated test tools and manual tests to create detailed bug tickets in Jira
Drive bug prioritization, reporting, and analysis through Jira
Generate detailed analysis reports of product quality for distribution

Skills Were Stoked About
BS in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field
5+ Yrs Experience working in an agile software development environment
Test planning and project management using Jira or similar tool sets
Experience with automated test frameworks
Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) process using Jenkins
Strong communication (written and verbal) skills
Experience with video encoding, decoding, and editing on mobile and desktop platforms
Customer troubleshooting and interaction
Self-motivated
Ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies and methodologies
Team spirit
Good problem-solving skills
Git
ISTQB certification
