Were looking for a passionate, well-rounded, kickass Director of User Experience to drive the digital transformation of GoPro.com as GoPro embarks on a completely new D2C corporate strategy. Your role will be crucial to this initiative and will shape the foundation for User Experience Design as a core pillar within our organization.
What You Will Do
Lead and evangelize the user experience strategy for GoPro digital commerce.
Manage executive and stakeholder alignment to drive a common UX vision that supports the product roadmap.
Work with the creative director to manage all aspects of UX, UI and Visual Design development and execution.
Partner with creative director, product managers, user researchers, and to define an executable experience.
Work with Product Management to understand how users are using the product and continually find opportunities to further improve and optimize user experience.
Build, evolve, and scale UX processes, standards, and tools at GoPro.
Establish, demonstrate and communicate effective design processes and how the design team should collaborate cross-functionally for maximum effectiveness.
Set expectations and maintain high standards of quality of the work for the team; demand excellence and encourage craftsmanship.
Evolve and strengthen a world-class design culture that is inspiring, innovative, diverse, supportive, growth-oriented, and unified.
Help recruit, nurture and retain top-tier talent.
Co-create the future of GoPros brand, product, and digital stoke with fellow Leaders.
Skills Were Stoked About
10+ years of combined hands-on experience through practice and management of User Experience design in the e-commerce context.
Strong transactional e-comm experience with a proven record for increasing conversion and engagement on site.
Solid understanding and practices of design principles, interaction design, and visual design with proven success in building consumer products.
Experience translating consumer brands into innovative and engaging digital properties.
Excellent collaboration and relationship management.
Expert-level knowledge of current trends, technology, communications, experience, art and other design influences.
Experience with implementing data-driven optimized creative, and A|B multi-variate testing.
Deep knowledge of associated practices, including UX writing, user research, motion, UX, and accessibility standards.
Experience with modern design tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe CC, etc.).
Experience with modern research tools (Google Analytics, Hotjar, Crazy Egg, etc.).
Experience with design-thinking and collaboration tools (Mural, Miro, etc.).
Experience with daily productivity tools (Wrike, Trello, Monday, etc.).
